It is all Cala's fault............not only the poor baby brug but also all the nasty recipes!! Gee Cala, when are you going to shape up??

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

It was a bit boring lately and I wanted to "spice" things up a bit!! Besides, we didn't eat tonight, decided to go early afternoon for pizza(not my cooking!!)

I guess you forgot to ask my question that I was wondering what it taste like grub worm huh? Over here has more whiter real big as a thumb size what I saw from last year so if I find this again will post here to show how big it is.

RedRose, they are a bit crunchy, taste like chicken. They aren't as bad to tickle your throat if you take nail clippers and cut their legs off.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

and Cala, don't you then fry up their legs in butter to dip them in for added cruch?

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Kell, we save those for when we do hamburgers on the grill. You know those onion straws you can get at some restaurants? Well, those little crispy legs work the same!!

Once I went visiting a nurseing home with a church group. We visited an elderly woman that had a bowl of peanuts on the table by her bed. She was about blind. One of the visitors, not me thank God, reached and got a handful and ate them. Later the woman in her conversatiom asked if anyone wanted any cocolate covered peanuts and reached and opened the table drawer where she had a stash hidden. She said she couldn't eat them because she didn't have any teeth and only sucked the chocolate off. Yep the bowl on the tablw was her left overs.

Cala please don't volunteer for the food committee at next years roundup.
