JO, Its amazing! You look almost identical to Maxine! hehe
Seriously, Louisa has such a beautiful, calming voice. You just feel so much better, just talking to her. She is such a lovely person, as we all know!
Yes Jo, you are a lovely person, too! ( little on the old side, but nice) hehehe
Folks, DJM is SOOO jealous 'cause I'm more like Maxine than she is...even if she DOES have a maxine doll! Eat your heart out, Doris! LOL Jo, Maxie 1

Doris calming? Heh!! I don't know about that. You will have to ask my cats how calming I was this morning when they woke me up at 3.30. Didn't anyone tell them about daylight savings time? Fed and watered now and fast asleep!! Whilst I............!!!!
My cat doesn't know or care about DST; she is up playing in the middle of most nights. She got me up right as the clocks were changing. Ever get a damp stuffy in the eye while sleeping? Such fun! (G'morning Margaret, I hope you got to go back to sleep afterward).
I have only met darius and we continue to get together from time to time. First I thought she might be a he, because of the name. Then you might think that gardening is her main, nearly only, obsession. HAH! She is a real bookworm par excellence... She is a great handiwoman, contstantly building things, either at her mother's place or hers. She is intellectual, fun, determined and comes back a-blazing against adversity.
As for the rest of you, it is apparent that gardening is only one facet of your fun-loving natures.
I was up early. Our/Deb's cat) Agnes has been at the vets for two days. My daughter found her ice cold, rolled up in a ball on the floor when she got home from work. Her body temp was 30 defrees, so they kept her. We picked her up and I bought a pet heating pad, put it in a baby bunting and she stays nestled inside. She hasn't been eating, so every time I get up during the night, I try to see if I can get a bit of food in her. Needless I to say I ended up earlier than I planned! (Can you believe,$849.00 for 2 days?)
Doris, how sad! Poor kitty, I would be like you, getting up in the night to offer her some warm snack. I hope she recovers fully.
Aw Doris - I'm so sorry!! I hope the little love gets better and I can sympathize about the bills. I have three cats remember. Next to lawyers and doctors, vets must be a close third for charging through the roof. Come to think of it, these people make a mint out of others' pain.
I've only met Louisa, and what a laff we had. I was really tired, and ready to leave the airport, thinking she had missed the flight, then my phone rang..... "BARRY !!!! ... WHERE ARE YOU????", then after about 20 minutes, and another 3 calls giving me instructions about where exactly she was, I hear a voice shouting in my general direction " BARRY!!!"...... and there she was.... almost as I had expected her to be (well I'd seen 1 wee photo of her on DG before, but it didn't do her the justice that "live" did. She is a very good looking woman, with charm, humour, and compassion.
We had a great wee laugh, then she and Abe had to go on to meet her daughter, but I hope I meet her, and Abe, again.
Mark has a nice soft Ulster accent, and when I saw his photo, it fitted to the voice. He seems to be a nice guy, maybe I'll give him a wee call sometime just for the craic (Irish for fun)!!
"eyes"'s voice was exactly as I imagined it to be, oh no, that was the train that was driving between her kitchen and living room just as I called. A great strong voice, and after having read the threads about her chili, now I realise why!!! She probably uses barbed wire as dental floss, and gargles with razor blades and stinging nettles to take the burning of the chili away....lol Just the way I thought of her... great voice, and very pleasant and heartful. A person I'd love to meet, and will meet someday.
Aimee, (sorry Aim, but my little`` aren't working tonight somehow), is the person on DG with whom I have spoken the most, and it has been a great laugh. I almost kept her away from a family reunion once.... she's my wee pal !!!
We've had lotsalaffs about just about everything, and everyone, but nothing bad, people, so don't jump to any conclusions about gossip..... er.... ok.... yeah!!
Aimee has not got the voice I imagined her to have. After reading about how ill she had been, I expected a wee sorry voice to answer the phone, as if it was her last effort, but NO!!! She has always been a bundle of energy on the phone, and laughs all the time, which makes me laugh also "allowing" me to forget the time we've been on the phone, and one night I even drank one-and-a-half litres of wine during our conversation. I didn't notice it, she probably did though;-)
Her daughter doesn't understand a word I say, yes I've spoken to her as well, but her Grand-Darling Lilian understood me just fine, and even said I talk funny..... cheeky little imp!!!
Aimee is the person whom I MUST meet.
The preconceptions one has can be fun sometimes, but I am normally pretty close, as to how the others are, but NEVER how they look. The voice is just as important to me as looks. I love voices.
*listening in*
Wintermoor
WM, it is late, I am tired, and I mis-read part of your statement above. At first I thought you said YOU were pretty close to normal. Gotcha! LOL
Now I would love to hear Wintermoor's voice...I love a Scottish accent....I don't have an accent...the rest of the world does. LOL Jo
Did I actually forget to mention Wintermoor in my travels!! Oh my - that is unforgiveable. But I'm sure he will forgive me. :-) Jo he has a wonderful voice. Some Scottish accents are jarring but not his. Melodious I call it!! The twinkle in his eye is not bad either....lol!!
Hey...his legs aren't bad either, Margaret...LOL Jo
I don't know if I can live up to that, Barry!!! ROFLOL!!
"eyes"
The two that comes to my mind is Iris and Nana that I met at the roundup. Oh yeah and shoe and eyes and Carol and vols and Grannie and cala and gardenwife and hubby well you get the drift. OH YEAH AND COUSIN MYSTIC ALSO AND COUSIN JO.
Oh I would love to hear Barry and Baa too. Now Cuz Jim how did I surprise ya? If you hadn't warned me I would need a bucket to get a hug you would have surprised me with how tall ya are. I think the round-ups need to be longer we didn't get enough time to spend with everybody.
How about "Dave's Garden Round up WEEK!!" Jo
LOL, obviously a woman who doesn't have cows!!
Kathleen, you could bring Her Serene Highness, Princess Jo...she would enjoy it!!!
Yeah, livestock trailers could double for camping...LOL!!
Heifers!!
"eyes"
Cross some of your Texas Longhorns with Kathleen's Shorthorns? Sounds interesting...
Shorthorns!?!?!? I'll have you know, they are all purebred Holsteins - not registered, mind you, but purebreds nonetheless. this of course means no spring cotillions for our girls, but they are from the finest families! You can tell by their deep bodies and nice double chins and their (you should excuse the expression) well hung udders, LOL.
Jo, HSH prin. Jo is out there being nasty messy with the rest of the girls. She's just not in a travelling state of mind.
OH MY!! How soon will she be able to "look over the bull pen"? Please don't sell her down the river!! I know she'll make a wonderful dairy cow....with lots of butter fat, tell Stan! Jo
Jo did you have your cataract surgery today or not? If you did, then my goodness you are soon back at work!!
Louisa....Yep! Had it at noon yesterday...it is now 5 AM here in AZ and I go for post-op exam at 8:15!! Boy! What they can do now days. Jo
