New BOLD Font..I Love it!!!

I thought I was seeing things!! But I guess he changed it. I love the BOLD look, or should I call it the fluffy look? Yea I like Fluffy...that really makes me feel more at home here LOL

Dave, the font size is now so huge that I find it terribly distracting -- the posts take up the whole page and are very hard to read, I have to move far away from the computer. Is there a way to adjust the font size down on each machine?

I think I need to move my chair into the other room:) already had that dreaded 'can't read anything close' disease! ;)

Please downsize, just a little?

Whew, who said "bigger is better?" - Guess I can throw away all the glasses for this one LOL!

I am currently working on the fonts at DG. I just made another change, so you folks who hate it, is it okay now?

What was wrong with it the way it was? It's still so huge that the forums take up the entire page, my husband could read the post from clear across the room.

I used to be able to get an overview of each forum's threads so that I could see what had been added, now I have to scroll and scroll -- my laptop screen is so small as it is, this is making me ill.

I cleared my cache and restarted the computer, but there's no change, it's still huge

WOW! I was just about ready to cancel my eye surgery for next week...thinking I didn't need it!! LOL Oh well...was I the only one that could have lived with the big fonts?? Jo

Jo, it wasn't the fonts per se that were bugging me, it was the fact that my laptop screen is so small that the posts were taking up all available space, so that I couldn't see the navigation links.

for me it was the big fonts, I couldn't read anything :)

Yes, that too, tiG -- had to push my laptop way down on my legs to read, and the fact that the screen was taken up with huge letters made me feel as if I was underwater and couldn't come up for air -- no navigation without scrolling!

Looks like I missed the see sawing events here........which is a good thing, I think!

I'm going to weigh in here - mine font is still very large, and I don't like it. I'm stuck using IEv 6.0 r6, so maybe that's the problem...

No Jo you weren't the only one who liked it! I liked the bold print. Can't wait til he put s it in our preferences! Its for sure I'll have mine set up like that.

Nah, Cala, you didn't miss all of it... It's still going on for some of us. I have cleared my cache (twice), rebooted, and my 17" screen still shown type about 16 or 18 pt. in the forums. The only exception is in this box to type my reply before it's posted. Quite annoying. (Dave: I'm using IE 5.2.2, Mac, FYI)

Hmmmm wondering now if I opened the wrong can of worms?? Seems as though some would have never noticed and others did. Strange how we all like different things, some like the new bold font and some didn't. To each his own I guess!

Mollybee, I noticed as soon as I signed on tonight... long before reading this thread. I had already spent some time dinking around in IE Preferences changing the font size, etc., to no avail. That action changed the font size in many other things I view regularly, just not DG. Had to change them back to make them large enough to read, LOL.

Darius, Dave is very responsive and helpful and I know he will assist you. I am very inexperienced in using the Internet, and as a result I tend to panic when untoward changes occur -- that happened to me this morning, and Dave straightened out my situation and I know he will for you, too.
