We had to temporarily move to the Bristol Motor Speedway because of black mold in our school. I had NO windows in my other office ... no shortage of windows here. One week down, should be about 5 more weeks, but no one knows for sure how long until we move back to the high school.

Evert, it's the Nascar Track - one of the few in our country. They have big races there twice a year and smaller races several times a year. There are over 150,000 seats and it's always sold out. Evert: Yes, only twice a year. Now they are decorating the parking lots and race track for a Christmas drive-through show. We drove through it once a few years ago - got to drive on the track and everything - pretty neat! All the profits for that go to charity.
It was built by individual people who had the money. Each race brings in millions and millions of dollars for the owners.
I'm sure you have millionnaires in Finland, too. Most people in the US do not have nearly this much money.

We were there once, not while a race was going on though...the slant of the track is really neat...and it's so TINY...on TV it looks so big! We're all Nascar fans here but I won't say who the favorites are...wouldn't want to start a fight! ha ha....cause that could go on forever...just listening to the guys here every Sunday, and an occassional Sat. night!
Ruby, No, I'm not a fan. It is a GREAT view. And so much light! (Except in the morning - there's very little light in this rooms.) Does anyone need to come visit me at the office ??? We can arrange that, I think.
Well I know my dh and I plan to come there some night and watch bristol under the lights!
