Cannot add new plant to database

I know this is probably on my end:

Still using Netscape 4.7 with MacOS9.2.

When I click on the " Add a new plant to the database" on the PDB home page (no, not forums), the page just refreshes. The URL changes from "plantsdatabase.com/" to "plantsdatabase.com/add.phb" and then back again.

The add plant dialogue refuses to appear.

:(and these Bulbophyllum pics are getting restless.....

Actually, you're not logged in to the PDB. :) For that reason, it won't let you add.

Go here: http://plantsdatabase.com/logout.php

then login and see if it works then.

The hyperlink took me to a page that said "you are now logged out"

So I logged in again, and went to PDB, and sure enough - thar's th' "add" dialogue!

Great!! But do I have to come to this forum and click on the hyperlink everytime?

Actually - forget I asked.

My orginal window now can access the dialogue.

I don't know if Dave played a trick on you or not. But everytime I clean out my cache, I have to log back into everything at DG - Dave's Garden, the PDB and the GWD.

And anytime I log out of DG for any other reason, I usually have to log back into all these sites again.

Other than that, you should stay logged in :)

I just figgered it out: some time in the last couple of weeks (I've been afk most of that time) it's been changed so that you must log into PDB now, right?

Yes, that's right Lopho, when you login/logout now, it only logs you into the specific site that you were on. You have to log into each site separately.

This did change a couple weeks ago.

(And, yes, I did play a trick on you. I sent you directly to the "Logout" page just in case you had old cookies that needed to be deleted, causing you to have trouble logging in).
