I'm back online full time!!

Melody, you're right, thanks for the clarification. It's the mix that I was talking about, not the cornmeal itself. Have never used the cornmeal, but the mix is wonderful.

They sell both kinds of Martha White cornbread here; and I agree: the self-rising corn meal is best! Yum. I am going to make a big batch of it for Saturday night for our family conference. Hopefully full bellies will help to ease the problems :D Sending you big hugs for a good weekend to come Joan, and a full thaw!

I got my driver training on ice. The first year I had my license I drove back and forth to school every day, about 10 miles each way. There was ice on the roads continually for about 5 weeks that winter. Made for great training. Now I can confidently drive no matter the conditions. But I hope your son doesn't have to battle conditions for the next few months, he needs to get good driving regular first!

Congratulations, Joan!! I'm so glad y'all got it done in time for winter. And a washer and dryer! How handy!! It's SO depressing when you can't get things clean unless you haul them to the laundromat and sit there 'til they're done. Ugh!

Man, it all sounds so wonderful for you!! Let us know after the campaign what all happened!!!

Joan, how did the animals make out with the move?

Joan, did you get my little gift yet? *grin* Love ya, dear friend.

Kathy, I got the prayer plant, is that what you are talking about? I got that a long time ago and thought that I had told you I got it. It's in my office, where I need it the most right now.

Wingnut, I will keep you up to date after the election. I will most likely be home awaiting results, so I'll be hunting for someone to chat with to keep my mind occupied.

elsie, all the cats are okay now. One of them disappeared for about 4 days when they moved the trailer and I was so worried. But, he's back home now too. All are well and adjusted. They are still having a hard time figuring out which door to meow at when they want in. Won't take long though, and next spring we are going to have the porch finished off that door, and put in kitty doors. We won't get to that this year though.

Thanks everyone. I have been staining base boards, but I'd better get back to it.

Hugs,
Joan

I knew that would bring a smile to your face! Keep it that way for a few more days, huh? That will help to ease your stress levels. (do you think they will work? *snicker* )

Belfield, ND(Zone 4a)

LOL! I'm trying to figure a way to sneak them in the box.

JOanJ, hope all is going well, been thinking about you during these elections times.
