one of Eric's needs name

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

He asked me to name this. Would love some suggestions:)
It's DxS M. If anyone else has pictures of this please post them in this thread. This one is variable so would love to see other shots of it. Much like Spring Peach, but the flower is smaller and much darker. They are blooming right next to each other. The blooms in the back of shot are SP.

(Zone 6a)

Dark Rose was the first name that popped into my head:)

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

oh sorry owen, it's dark dark peach colored. Cala, if I can get you down here, you will get a piece!!!

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Oh, I know, when Kimberley's mom comes and Roz, we will run down(well drive, running would make us tired)

Montgomery, AL(Zone 8a)

I'll keep room for this one also.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

when is that??

(Zone 6a)

I really do need a dark peach colored one tiG:) LOL
Will bring my shovel with me when I swing down that way:)

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

just got me a big guard dog!!!

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

Gingered Melon
Sunglow
Apricot Swirl
Tangerine Dream

Hmmm - I'm thinking real hard here >:oI

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

oh, I like Tangerine Dream!!! and Gingered Melon too

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

I always think people names too - sumthin real feminine would be nice - Henrietta, Anistasia, Priscilla... how bout Lady Di?

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

wish I knew Eric's wifes name.....Eric, are you gone yet?????

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

People names are kinda hard if it's not your plant. Wouldn't want the name to remind him of someone he doesn't like! Like a wicked Auntie that aways pinched his cheek too hard :)

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

Tig, brugman's wife's name is i believe darlene. i am very confused now, as the pics i posted he was looking at that he thought might be D X S M are nothing like this at all. remember the one with very twisted tendrils when you were here, in a pot, that i wondered if it were twisted sister? maybe so, it's a yellowish peach and shaped nothing like this one.

I can see it out the window and Tangerine Dream seems to fit. Wish I could see someone elses.

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

I have SxD L - hadn't seen the M before this picture. I know Snowhermit has the L too.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

they are from the same cross, but different plants. I know he didn't send out many of the M, but don't know to who???

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

CC has one of the 3, can't remember which but mine died.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

maybe Eric will still be around and pop in today.

Dripping Springs, TX

If I give you a "donation"--- can you name it after my mother-in-law?

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

desert rose, it's not mine, it's Erics. but I can send some seeds and if you get something special, you could name it after her. should bloom next summer. lmk

Dripping Springs, TX

OK thanks. I was waiting for the typical mother-in-law comment from somebody. I thought I was going to explain the "why" about her.

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

Mine died this spring.....

How bout peachy keen...is that how you spell that?

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

I looked out the window all day yesterday and can't make up my mind. It's so pinky peach. I don't want it to get confused with the other pink/peach names. It's too pinkish to be tangerine even though I love that. want to get those minds in gear while its blooming

Apricot-Blush?

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

(hoping Eric stops in:)
if I go back to the idea of the "kissed" series, it could be
Melon Kissed
Apricot Kissed
Ginger Kisses
Cantalope Kiss
and unless someone infringed on the 'kiss' theme, you would know it's Erics. ??
Cantalope Kiss

(Zone 6a)

tiG....how is the fragrance on that one? I am no good at thinking up names, so will give up on it:) LOL But I am always curious about the fragrance....that's the first thing I wonder about whenever I see a beautiful brug bloom:)

Owen

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

it's hard to tell, I have 12 brugs blooming at my front door. All of Erics so far smell wonderful, but it's hard to say if this one would be strong on its own. It bout knocks your head off when we walk out at night.

Co.Wicklow, Ireland(Zone 8b)

Hey Tig...You could always call it, as the Irish would say, 'Kiss me arse' but i don't think anyone would want it...LOLOL

Bruno

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

lol!!

High Desert, CA(Zone 8a)

tiG... the long tendrils reminds me of butterfly brugs. how about Mariposa [Spanish for butterfly]???? just a thought.

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

I like Melon Kissed. Or just Mellon Kiss. I know there's Sun Kissed ... does he have any other kisses?

Toadsuck, TX(Zone 7a)

Why not Dreamsicle???

"eyes"

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

eyes, there's already Creamsickle and it's too close. Poppy, I have one that's a light soft pink, like a baby's blanket that I've thought of naming Baby Kisses, but not sure yet. i want it to bloom again.
I like Melon Kiss. or Melon Kissed?? lol, not sure.
MaVie, I love the name, but as there's already one named butterfly, even in English, I hate to add any confusion. Juts in case.

I love your kissed or kiss name series. :) show how much you love these flowers.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

it told me today it likes Melon Kisses. not sure if it talked to Eric, but that's it. If you have DxS M, please change the tag to Melon Kisses.

Angleton, TX(Zone 9a)

tig . . this one is beautiful.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)
