redrose im so glad to see that you are OK and sad to hear that you have alot of damage! I hope that your power is back soon and life returns to somewhat normal soon!
God Bless!
Rose, I am so glad you posted. Hang in there girlie.
FEMA came by this morning to check everything which it had damaged and told me to watch the mail that I hope it will send enough $$$ to get to pay for what we need to be fix so glad the man "FEMA" did came by.
So glad to hear from you and find out you and yours are fine. All the rest will eventually get taken care of - try not to worry so much.
I'll hold on to your Drac seeds for you, no sense adding to all those e-mails right now. Once things settle down just e-mail me your address and I will send the seeds out to you.
Take it easy,
Candee
Redrose: So glad to hear from you. Glad you and yours are okay. Don't let the depression get you down, you can pull yourself out of it. God doesn't give us more than we can handle, although it seems that way sometimes. You will get your yard back to looking good, it will take a little time. I have your seeds ready to be mailed, will mail them out soon. Take care and God Bless, Debby
so glad you are back. everything will come together, and I'm glad FEMA is there.
Redrose, welcome back. And so sorry. I feel for you and your family. We had a tornado hit us once and it was like what you described at your place.
Just holler if you need something. DGers will help get you back together!
Dearest RedRose, am overjoyed to hear that you and your family are okay. I am so sorry that many of your plants and trees were harmed and that your roof was damaged, and thank God the FEMA man came to you so that you didn't have to go to the government yourself and then wait weeks or months for help.
It is depressing and distressing to be away from home, unable to communicate or do anything about the situation, when a destructive force like a hurricane is at work. Try to look ahead to the day when the cleanup will be over and your life restored to a more even keel. Will pray for you and your loved ones in all respects. Take your time and do things step-by-step, one foot in front of the other, and try not to worry -- now that we know you're okay, we also know that you'll be back in touch whenever you're able. God bless you and all your loved ones.
RedRose, I am overjoyed to see you post. I am glad youa re safe and sound, but sad for all you had to go thru. I hope you get the money fast from FEMA>
hang in there, and come spring I will send you plants to help you re-start your garden.
RedRose: So glad you are safe and back home. I know how disheartening it can be to look at all that destruction, but once you start the cleanup process and can see some improvement, you'll feel better.
In 1986, Seward had torrential rainfall that resulted in the rivers overflowing. Our area was evacuated, and I recall the feeling of displacement when we couldn't go home. I also recall all the damaged keepsakes, etc. It was heartbreaking at the time, but even then, I knew how much worse it could have been.
What a relief to know you and your family are safe! I know the mess can be depressing and hope you get some rest in able yo cope with it. (((((((((RedRose))))))))))!
Oh, bless your heart, Redrose! I'm SO GLAD that you all are okay!!!!! And so sorry that yoru roof was damaged and trees and yard, too. :(!! You'll get it back to normal soon, I just know you will! And thank goodness for the FEMA man ~ I hope you get $$ to fix it SOON. Oh, man ~ I feel for you, girl! You probably know this already, but Kenny and I got flooded out of our house last year ~ just got in the floors and we had to replace the carpet ~ now the floor in one place is rotting. BUT atleast we still have a house and the two of us and our pets!
I hope you get back to normal soon! ((((((((((((RR & Family))))))))))))
Redrose, it is SO good to read your words and know that you and your family are safe and sound. I'm sorry you returned to find so much destruction; just having to break out of our everyday routines is difficult enough, and to have the aftermath to deal with, too, must be so hard. I'm praying you'll find joy in the midst of this - little encouragements to bouy your spirits - and I pray the FEMA money comes to you very quickly. I'll send your Four O'Clock seeds out tomorrow! :) (((Love you)))
Redrose, it is good to hear that you are ok. Hope that FEMA comes thought quickly.
Thank you all again. GW that so beautiful pix, I love it.
Today finally phone line back normal today fixed it also will looking forward the seeds, thanks GW for let me know.
Redrose, so nice to see you back. I'm praying that all goes well for you and your family.
Glad you are back RedRose. You take care.
=)
We could not clean our yard because of so wet that it had rain several days hope not more rain today so has to wait dry good enough so we can clean up the yard boy the grass high need to be cut the grass. Oh well hope dry good enough tomorrow.
I am still waiting for the mail from FEMA and it said will not inclue the fence damaged also food loss too =( Oh well.
Y'all take care and have a great day~ RR
Well, that's just rotten that FEMA won't cover the food loss and fence damage. I am not too surprised, though, those government agencies are very tight with a dollar -- YOUR tax dollar!!
It must be very frustrating to have to hold off on cleaning your yard because of the rain. I hope the moisture will soon slack off enough for you to mow and straighten up the yard, so that you don't have to be reminded of the damage every time you go outside or look out the windows.
FEMA only pays for Loss of Residential Housing Property, and agricultural crops. I am soooo happy to hear that you are all well, and safe. All else can be repaired or replaced. One day at a time, and the sun will shine on!!
"eyes"
But it is ok the food stamps will help me to pay the foods which had loss foods that is better than nothing, I don't mind so fema will help pay for damage for roof and wall tins tear some some other damage. As well the fence is really bad bend so will find a way to looking for used fence to get cheaper if find. We will do a little at a time to work our yard mess.
Yes whiterose of course true everytime I go outside make me so sad everytime I see our yard mess and ruin and the plants mess up had to throw it away. I have some few plants so glad did not destroy all plants. Boy the wind blow so hard to kill my plants. Oh well. I am glad hurricane is over.
EYES,yeah we are safe and sound also cats too. LOL
RedRose, I am glad that the food stamps will help to pay for the lost food. I know how distressing that is. One year, my DH and I went for a short trip, and while we were gone the refrigerator went on the fritz and all our food was ruined -- it took all night to clean up the mess and a lot of money to replace the food. My heart goes out to you. Am just so glad that, in the midst of the damage, you and your family and cats are okay.
glad you are safe and okay!
We just got home today from Topsail Island North Carolina. We drove in" Kyle" yesterday!OY!!!!!! You are in my thoughts and prayers.
Thanks mingsmimi =)
redrose i am so glad you are ok and i know you are devastated at your yard and all but thank the good Lord you are all safe. More plants will grow and tress too. by next spring you will have that yard looking really good. Take care and take it one step at a time and know we are here for you.
