Are we ready?

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

For the next EE co-op? How about Gingers? Do we want them both going at the same time? We can order as many varieties as we like, just remember....MUST have minimum 72 per variety.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

YES!!!

MD &, VA(Zone 7b)

I'm ready :)

Catoosa, OK(Zone 7a)

Are you a glutten for punishment or what? lol
What kind of timeline are you talking about?

Bay City, MI(Zone 6a)

lol im rrrrrrrrrrready freddy!!! :]
no christmas presents this yr! lol

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

I'll get the list together. I learned a lot from this last one(like GET ORGANIZED). If y'all have favorites, you better mention them now, or you might not see them!!! I know we will definitely have Nancy's Revenge and Hilo Beauty. I'm thinking a week or two to order, then I'll call it in and they ship on Tuesdays, it arrives on Thursday. I'll pack it up on the following Sunday evening and take to the PO on Monday!! See how organized I sound!! Now, where is my shoe? I took it off to use my toes for counting.

Bay City, MI(Zone 6a)

LOL look under those boxes! oh i cant wait!

Paxton, FL(Zone 8a)

I hate to appear so dumb, but what is EE? If I don't ask, I don't know if I want it or not.

"down the Shore", NJ(Zone 7a)

gingerlily, EE= Elephant Ears, like Colocasia, Alocasia...

Paxton, FL(Zone 8a)

Ok, I searched around after I asked too. Duh!!

I am interested Cala. Where is a good site to look at different varieties?

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

Colocasia "Fallax"
Colocasia "Ruffles"
and maybe Amazonica again

Catoosa, OK(Zone 7a)

Well, okay, if you insist. Put me down for the list of houses with no Christmas too. LOL
I would like to have some Micky Mouse Ears( I think that is right), and lots of others.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

oh yes, what could we get MM for????

Oakland, CA(Zone 10b)

Add another name to the list of interested folks! Hilo Beauty for sure, plus others already mentioned - all in absurd quantities ;-) Thanks!

Ewing, KY(Zone 6a)

Yes we are ready. lol Micky Mouse for sure.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

OK, Mickey Mouse, Hilo Beauty, Amazonica if enough want it, Ruffles(gotta check on that one) I'll get the list together. We can order a dozen varieties if enough want them!!(that company knows me by name now, lol)

Milo, IA(Zone 5a)

http://www4.ncsu.edu/~alan/plants/aroids/colocasia/ If I did this right, this page has alot of the different colocasia illustrated on it.
I would like the Mickey Mouse one too. Plus the Illustris looked beautiful and the Frydek, too.
Edited to say:
Cala: Ruffles sounds good too. Just get your list together and let us know.

Milo, IA(Zone 5a)

On one site that sells these, they want $25.00 for a baby Nancy's Revenge. The other named varieties are going for $15.00 a piece for baby plants, which would be about the size that we received. I am still amazed at the size and quality that they are. Good goin Cala.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Susie, I'm in again. Haven't received the first ones yet, but the pictures look great.

Birmingham, AL(Zone 7b)

Ummm. That's not Micky Mouse. MM is Xanthosoma macrorrhiza albo-variegata. Let's make sure were not getting some Micky Mouse substitute.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Planter Rik, I'll double check. I could have sworn that's the one she said it was. I see on their list xan. mac. albo variegata. OK, no Mickey Mouse, the albo var. is not available :(

Birmingham, AL(Zone 7b)

Jes' checkin' down the list here..... Fire Flash is a flashy new tropical, but it's not an elephant ear, or a taro, or even an aroid. It's a Chlorophytum, like a spider plant/airplane plant.

It is kinda pretty, but how far afield do we want to go?

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

however far Cala wants to go

Birmingham, AL(Zone 7b)

"Imperialis" gave me a run for my money! That's A. nebula, formerly known as Alocasia gutatta imperialis. (whew!)

Very nice plant. Smallish, like amazonica and black velvet .... Hey, any chance we could get green velvet?

Ewing, KY(Zone 6a)

Cala count me in on whatever YOU decide on. You can't beat the prices. I can't believe you are going to all the trouble to do this again so soon. Thank you so much ! You are the best!

Ellicott City, MD(Zone 7a)

Count me in, too!

What happened to "Nancy's Revenge"????

This is what you wrote above...."I know we will definitely have Nancy's Revenge and Hilo Beauty." What happened? Is it not available or to expensive???

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

I'll have to check on Nancys Revenge, it's not showing available this week. I saw "fire Flash" and didn't notice that the names had changed, my mistake. They send the availability in Excel, and it's sometimes hard to read. Green Velvet is showing not available.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

wonder if Fire Flash is like Yellow splash, might better grab those real quick.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

TiG, it's an airplane/spider plant. I don't collect those. I didn't notice that the listing had changed from Colocasia to something else.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

oh okay!!! nah

Catoosa, OK(Zone 7a)

No Mickey Mouse???? WWWWAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

Okay, I'm better now. I will just have to find some other ones that I just have to have. :-)

Grandview, TX(Zone 7b)

I'm in too! For as many as I can get, hehe. Cala you did a GREAT job with the last ones you sent. I am having a hard time deciding on what I want........OK, I've decided, I want them ALL!
I agree with the others, I want Mickey Mouse too :-(
TL

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

Cala, do you think she'd hold those limited varieties for you? I'd love to have the Imperialis among others

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

Gosh, I wish I could get in on this - wish I could have got in on the other. You guys are so lucky that you have Cala.

Bay City, MI(Zone 6a)

are you going to have a link with pictures? Where is everyone looking? dog gone it! i want different looking ones!
oh bother! ;]

Birmingham, AL(Zone 7b)

Cala! Sometime last night, I remembered another botanical name that is used for Mickey Mouse, and I just double-checked it -- Xanthosoma atrovirens albo-variegata, or just X. atrovirens. Maybe there's a chance they have it under that name.

MD &, VA(Zone 7b)

Susie are you sure you want to take this on again? LOL.

I would order any of them from the list you provided but am most interested in these from your list:
A. Bullatta
A. Elaine
A. Fantasy
A. Frydek
A. Gagaena
A. Imperialis
A. Portadora
A. Villenuvii
C. Ruffles
X. Lindenii Mag.
And of course Micky Mouse if available.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Rik, no, they don't have that one. The reason I mentioned the jeoquinii lineatum is because Kathy said it had crinkeledy(is that a word?) variegated leaves that are variable. If they have it, I'm gonna order it for me. Here is the only picture I could find http://www.mutantpalm.com/aroids/XanthoJacqLin.html
Here is a link with some pictures, click on either alocasia or colocasia. http://www.kallus.com/aroids/plnthome.htm
