Yes, I've been watching that number, too -- ordinarily numbers don't mean too much to me, but 20,000 would be a very significant landmark and Dave and Trish deserve kudos. This is one of the best sites online, for gardening and for friendly folks.

I predict that on October 10, the 20,000th member will join davesgarden. It just doesn't seem that long ago (about 2 years) when there were only 20 of us.

I don't remember who said it before but we have to also thank GrannyLois for giving birth to our fearless leader because without her I would never have met such wonderful friend's from all around the world, not to mention my garden would be less 100's of plant's from DG members!
