Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

well, Cala and I do have different plants. Don't know yet who has which, but I have a seed pod formed from her pollen on my plant. !!!
the color in this picture isn't so good.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

I've got you one of these coming this week. way too small to bloom, but hopefully next year you can tell us whether or not they are the same:) did yours ever look like mine during the summer??

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

Tig, not really, not the way the edges curl up. found this pic don't think i ever posted before from summer. you can see the bloom in back getting ready to open.

curiouser and curiouser

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

that is so pretty Arlene. Is that your PB/rosamond?

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

so are they different???

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

well, Cala thought hers and mine are the same, BUT, she didn't see it in summer bloom, which is much different. So, the jury is still out. But the pollen that I thought took apparently didn't. The pods fell while still very small.

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

yes kell, mine. i'm thinking monika is right is really rosamond. the first pic i posted from today, i grabbed the stalk and pulled it down so i could get a close up! i've never thought tig's looks like mine.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Arlene, I think mine is like yours. I got mine from Barb. JT got his there too, didn't he, but I thought his looked different yet. I'm calling mine Rosamond now.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

would be really terrific if we do have both!!!

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

One has serrated leaves(Arlene's), and other plain? tiG?

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

I might be mistaken, but it could be that the serration on Arlene's leaves is caused by the cats. Both look like fairly smooth edged leaves to me. These old eyes don't work like they used to though.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

my leaves look like arlenes

Hattiesburg, MS(Zone 8a)

I think the cool weather makes the color different. A photo of the Pink Beauty I grow is at the following link

great site Barbara! enjoyed all your beauties

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

Barbara, it's not the color we've been worried about being different. It's the recurve and all that. My picture (top of post) doesn't look like yours either.

(Zone 6a)

I love the color of your Pink Beauty, Barbara. Seems to be different from all the other pics. I have seen in here....maybe an orangish tint in the color.

Hope you all solve this one soon, I love this picture tiG. It is great. I got one from Brugie and Cala, this picture even got Ashley excited.

(Zone 6a)

Am just calling mine pretty pink unknowns:) LOL

With all the thousands and thousands of new seeds everyone is producing every year....99.9% of the brugs will soon be "unknowns" as each person names their seedlings, without knowing who both parents really are:)

So I don't really care.....if they have good qualities, that is good enough for me:) I can see where a person can end up ordering a brug that he/she already has....don't think that problem is going to get anything but worse as time goes on though.

Another thought....might help a bit. If we all correct out pictures so they are showing the true color before we post them, that might be somewhat helpful. I use a program called IrfanView, that is so simple anyone can use it to adjust picture colors in about a second. Well, maybe not that fast, but pretty quickly anyway:) I also try to take my pics when the sunshine is not directly on the subject or glaring on the camera lens. Cloudy days are more ideal for getting realistic colors; but IrfanView is a fantastic easy to use free program.
