Brewers, KY(Zone 6b)

Rose, Mini, God bless yall, take care, if Lili makes landfall there, I don't know how much of a town yall will have left :( This hurricane is going to be a catastrophe.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

it's just been upgraded to a 3. :(

Brewers, KY(Zone 6b)

tiG, they are saying 4 by the time it hits, yall, please, please, please keep Mini and Rose in yall thoughts, if they take a direct hit...it is going to be horrible. This storm is going to be a killer storm.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

Lisa, have you been ordered to evacuate? have they?? please be careful!

Bodrum, Turkey(Zone 10a)

RedRose and mini, I have goosebumps just thinking about the devastation that they are predicting. Please please get out while you can. I will pray for the safety of your families and your homes, and towns.
God keep you during these trying times.

Brewers, KY(Zone 6b)

Our immediate area has not been ordered to evacuate, but they are urging people to leave now while they can. Some parts of my area (Grand Isle, LA) have had mandatory evacutaion. I would imagine that Mini and Rose will have mandatory evacutaion. They need to leave for their own safty.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

here is a map showing all three of you (mini is #1). Looks scary to me for all of you. love you all, will be so glad when this is over.

tiG, thank you so much for that map! It makes the situation much clearer. It sure does look scary, am praying for that storm to diminish and turn its path to where it will do the least harm.

Lake Toxaway, NC(Zone 7a)

Don't forget to fill up your washer, bathtubs, and eveything else that holds water. Your homes may make it through o.k., but you won't have electricity to pump water or for lights. Lots of batteries and candles and kerosene for oil lamps are important. Also dried food and canned foods that don't have to be cooked. If you have a gas grill, make sure you have plenty of gas. If not, make sure you have plenty of charcoal and lighter. It's good to have paper plates, plastic eating utensils and disposable cups too.
Although I am in the mtns. of NC, these hurricanes that come into the gulf end up working their way east. We don't get a lot of wind, maybe 40-50 m.p.h. but we get a lot of rain. Isabelle dumped between 14-18 inches around here. So flooding dow in the valleys is our problem..

Bodrum, Turkey(Zone 10a)

The more I read about this, the more scared I get.
Tig, thanks for putting the map up for us.

when will this thing hit? tomorrow? egads!

woodspirit, you too be careful.

New Iberia, LA(Zone 9a)

Yes you got it right.. I lives #1, about 6 miles to the I 10.. I live out of town of Sulphur about 12 miles to DeQuincy. Well i gotta to go and talk you all later.. Keep praying for us. Bye bye...

Mason, MI

Mini, Rose & Lisa,
Stay safe. :-)
We're keeping your in our thoughts and prayers.

New Iberia, LA(Zone 9a)

Yes just about everything ready packed and put my van and my son truck when my husband get off work at 4 pm then we will be leaving at least 5 pm or less, cuz that really drive me nuts and wish could leave here now but his boss want him work today, boy how stupid the job are how they need to get stuff ready if they need go up north. I am so nervous could not wait outta of here.
Thank for thinking of us.

Brewers, KY(Zone 6b)

Great map tiG, I am a little more down than the Thibodaux marking, I am sitting right next to Houma. Closer to the town of Cut Off. They couldn't figure out where to put the town of Bayou Blue, where I actually live, so we have to claim Thibodaux -- (no post office in Bayou Blue)

RedRose, so sorry that your DH's boss wouldn't let him go earlier. Sure will be thinking about you all and praying for your protection, safety and longterm peace of mind in the midst of this turmoil.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

Lisa, I lived outside of Houma for a while about 28 years ago. water water everywhere

Brewers, KY(Zone 6b)

tiG, yes, we have more bridges here than Venice due to waterways (that is true). THe hurricane is now a very dangerous catagory 4 packing winds of 120 mph. This is so unreal.

Bodrum, Turkey(Zone 10a)

here is another good link
