http://www.brugmansia.dk/BHGA/

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

okay you two guys who looked, come back and say something!!!

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

most definitely. Tonny, would you like nominations mailed to you and then you can announce them? let us know what to do.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Sorry Tonny, it's easier in the winter when there aren't any brugs to pollinate to get all excited about something, then when we got busy we forgot about it.
I'll help any way I can.

Sorry guys can't do the officer thing right now....I'm sure there is someone out there that will be happy to replace me on the list.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

perhaps we can email our top three or four choices to Tonny and he can take it from there? Tonny? tell us what to do.

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

Tonny, what do we need to do?

Hi Gloria, hope you aren't too waterlogged?
Glad you are ok.

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

Poor Tonny - he's probably up to his eyeballs in lumber and nails.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Get going how Arlene? Let me know................ I will lend my famous name and incredible influence to any good cause!

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

I need to be pointed back to the threads - I can't remember where we ended up. Did anybody save them?

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

type BHGA in the search box and they are all there.

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

thank you tiG ~~

Hamilton, Canada

Liz would you consider being the Canadian rep? We can't afford to be left out of this...if you don't have the time I can do something in a minor way...

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

If I remember correctly Jeanne and Liz were asked in the beginning to be the Canadian officers. I hope they will.

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

And I think we agreed - with the proviso that we get semi-annual junkets to Denmark, Germany - wherever there is a good brug to be found. LOL
Just kidding of course - but this is a serious undertaking. And as things will be slowing down for a lot of the brugies out there probably the best time to get back to it.
Tonny did an incredible amount of work on this project almost solo. Now he is busy and we should pick up where he left off.
All we need is some direction from him. After all - he is the creator/ moderator.

Thanks My ladies. You are incredible!!! J

It make me happy, that you still find, that BHGA is worthwile.

I see, that you found all the realted threads too. Now, don`t read your eyes out. LOL

I remember, that we ended up selecting Liz and Jeanne as the Canadian SIS ORG
And Eric Knight as US seed and pollen banker. LOL After settling this more or
Less in private, we ended up with an agreement, that we all could vote. The last question was how to vote and who to count votes … then the thread disappeared. LOL So here we go again.

How do we do it? By simply asking, who are in as candidates for the US and the EU dept.`s and then run a vote? Sorry the two major Canadian posts President and Vice President are already gone and it will be up to us now to ask, who take care of the rest?. Is that fair?

There are several posts to go for. LOL

President, Vice President, Curator of seed collectio, Curator of pollen collection, chashier and official spokesman.

Where can I mail my votes?

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

what's the difference in pollen and seed banker and curator? are you too busy for us to mail our votes to you? because that's also going to put you having to ask the nominees/vote getters if they are willing to serve too. Are we coming at you at a bad time?

No, I have a few days. Some of the building materials are delayed to Tuesday and Lene is in Thisted to visit her DM to Sunday, so I can take it a bit more easy. *LOL*

I can put up this e-mail address:

vote@brugmansia.dk

You can copy from here and paste in your mail software. *LOL* I put vote in front of @ so I can tell it from all other mail. :)

A curator is a administrative director for a collection, but that collectiion can be a book collection as well as a paleonthological collection of stone axes. Will it make things easier, if seed and pollen banker is the same person?

I have set up the mail address on the BHGA frot page.

Here are the link to older threads:

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

well, if they get real busy, it might not be easier for them. just thinking about having to catalog and keep records, probably better to have the seperate. jmho

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

Tonny - is there an area on your site where we can post? Maybe it wouldn't be fair to dave if everything happened here. JMHO.

Jonesboro, GA(Zone 7b)

I vote for Tonny as Pres!!

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

I see Tonny doesn't have himself as the head of the whole thing, and I think he should just go ahead and put that in there. we should probably make all other nominations/votes through the email he set up.

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

I'd certainly vote for that -
and maybe we need a cutoff date for nominations so votes don't straggle in forever.
Then we can get moving.

Can we use the BHGA frontpagefor votes?

http://www.brugmansia.dk/BHGA/

*LOL*

Do we do annonymous votes ... or?

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

Looks good.
This vote is just for the americans and you?

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

Tonny, do we just need to send names of people we'd like to see serve or do you want them by job? have my thinking cap on.

Liz, I got to borrow tiGs thinking cap. *LOL* tiG, it was you who borrowed my thinking cap. How was it ... didn`t we vote for you and Jeanne? Would you try and run candidates again?

*LOL*LOL* tiG, I just imagined, what you would look like with George Gearless thinking cap.

- (From Donald Duck. The inventor. He may have another US name) -

tiG, that is a good question. Can I suggest, that we start to ask, who like to run candidates and for what? Each Candidate can make a wishlist with first to fourth priority job and then we vote? Am I making this complicated?

Sounds very reasonable Tonny.

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

Guys, how about Eclipse????????????????
why don't we see what he would like to do, he should get unanimous consent for the position of his choice in my mind.

Jonesboro, GA(Zone 7b)

Eclipse certainly needs to be in there somewhere! I read somewhere an a site that he is one of the world's leading hybridizers - never been able to find it again or would have posted it. It was a nursery - I'm sure he would know the name - it was one that he supplies to.

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

How about everybody votes their choices. Then anyone specifically not wanting or able to do the job also sends an email to the BHGA site. Their name is then removed from the vote tally.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

Tonny, if I have the thinking cap, why can't I figure this out:) lol!! do you want volunteers to write you and then you make up a voting list? or do I write you with 1 for job A, 2 for job b, etc. or just my top four/five choices for anything? no sense us all emailing until something is really set on how this is going to go. oh, here, you can have the cap back:)

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

Azalea, it was the NH page and I agree. Kyle is THE top breeder in the US and his knowledge is needed!

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

perhaps we just need a nominating committee to begin with? then voting will be much easier.

Jonesboro, GA(Zone 7b)

And a nice guy too!! τΏτ

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

don't want anyone to think I disagree with Kyle as a choice, I had something else pressing on my mind. I hope Kyle will consent.

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

I hope he has the time......I think he's the best choice

Bodrum, Turkey(Zone 10a)

I think Kyle is a wonderful choice. I wonder if he would have the time, and would he want to do it though?

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

I'm sure glad to see this moving along again. No connection since last night, so I'm back now and ready to do whatever Tonny says. Hope Kyle will help also. Think he has a lot of knowledge that would be very helpful here.

Just some thoughts borrowed from tiG`s thinking cap. It was a great help putting it on. *LOL* BHGA was created on DG and it follows naturally, that only DG`ers can give valid vote. Question is, how do we control the situation? All signed up DG`ers have an DG mail account. Would it be possible to use that to vote from? I know, that there will be lots of e-mails filling up on Daves server, but on the other hand, if these can be deleted, when the votation is over, the e-mails will still be in my in-box (I have six hard disks. *L*). Do any of you have the time to explain to Dave and ask, if he gives green light?
