Hi, I hope this is not an old topic that's been discussed to death! I am pretty new here, and I have spent a lot of time updating my trade list and I am learning how to use the journal, etc. To make it easier on myself, I wanted to link my trade list HERE to another large forum. I'm sure you all know which one I'm talking about. When I went to post the link, I received a very stern warning about spam and not to post it THERE. Ugh.....I'm just tryin' to make life a little simpler. So my question is, for those of you who like to trade and participate in various forums across the web, how do you handle that delicate matter of directing folks to your trade page without it causing major upset? I think you have to pretty much stay in each forum, which means duplicate work. Other forums will tell you the same thing. If I am having trouble with the 'action' on a certain plant I want to trade, I just re-enter to bring it back up to the top.

Sue_WA, if you want to stay on that other forum, you cannot mention this one at all. If you want to stay in that other forum, you have to maintain your trade list there for those members, and here for us. I'm sorry to say this, but that's the only way it will work or you will not be able to post there anymore.

maybe you could ask them to email you for your list. then just send them a link to DG page??

Hi Everyone! Thank you for your replies. Joan J, that is not fair! Yes, DG is certainly a nice forum and people seem to respect each other here more!
I've given this a little more thought since last night and I'm thinking that:
1. I will put together a small webpage with pics of our garden, projects, etc. A link to my webpage will appear on my member page there. I'll put a link to my trade list on the web page. The downfall, is people would have to click twice to see my trade list, I wonder if they will do it?

2. tiG's idea. I'll propose my trade and say, if you wanna see my trade list click here.

The reason for #1 is that I've had people cruise my trade list there and e-mail me out of the blue for a trade. I've gotten some nice trades that way! But #2 would make my life simpler!

I don't have the time to develop and maintain two trade lists, unfortunately. I like this format better, also. Anyway...onward. I've got to go divide Hostas! Thanks again, Sue
