anyone up?

Brewers, KY(Zone 6b)

who is in the garden?

Huntington Beach, CA(Zone 10a)

I guess it's just me Lisa. I just got home from spending the day at my dads and of course I had to check into DG to see how you all were doing. So how are you doing, still looking out the window to watch your critters. I guess you won't be getting much sleep tonite eiter. We have been watching the weather from out here and keep hoping it will miss you all.
Man oh man...I don't know which disaster I would rather be in, your hurricanes or our Earthquakes!!! With yours, at least you can be prepared..somewhat, but ours just ups and kicks ya in the pants whenever it so desires. lol
Try to get a little sleep tonite ok. I don't think anyone is going to steal all your shrimp, as they probably will get stuck in all the mud. HeHe

Take care and we all have our best wishes for ya'll.
Keep us posted.

I'm thinking of you and all of our Southern friends tonight. Hope all fairs well with the storm and you send some of that rain up here for us to enjoy! We sure could use some of that rain!

Brewers, KY(Zone 6b)

wish I could send the rain to you! The storm is just about to make landfall, I can't sleep, the wind and rain are horrible. I'm a little scared right now..lol! I am munching on M&M's just watching and waiting. There has been a confirmed tornado down the road about 20 miles or so from me. The worst of the weather is just about here and hopefully will move out of here fast. The rain is coming down about 1-3 inches per hour. I should have gotten a bigger bad of M&M's! I am munching them fast..lol! At least we still have power for the moment

Lincoln City, OR(Zone 9a)

LOL I eat chocolate when I am stressed too. I don't blame you for being scared. I sure get scared when a thunderstorm comes through. I have lost a half of my barn roof a few years ago to a tornado that plopped down the roof right at my front door! I was almost crushed if I hadn't stopped to put on my shoes instead of my bedroom slippers. God took care of me then as HE will take care of you tonight. Good luck and may God Bless. And I wish I could send you some more M $ M's. Plain or peanut?

Brewers, KY(Zone 6b)

We are still getting slammed here. The wind and rains are torrential. I forgot how scary this can be.

I can hear limbs cracking outside and things being tossed around.

I should have bought a bigger bag of M&M's..

Scotia, CA(Zone 9b)

Are you still up?

Huntington Beach, CA(Zone 10a)

Lisa, it's 3 am right now and I am awake again. I am on some medication right now for an ear infection and an inflamed tendon in my right shoulder, so I think these meds are keeping me from sleeping too well. Thought I would check in to see if you were still awake and looking for someone to talk to. So how many bags of m&m's or other candies have you gone through tonite? lol

I can hear all that terror in my mind of what is going on outside your home and I really feel for you right now. It is so quiet in my home at the moment, with only the sound of my DH snoring. I am a little concerned about me going back to bed, as I need to get some sleep. I didn't sleep well last nite either and had a very busy day at my father's house and tomorrow (today)I am supposed to be at my DD's house to visit with my grandson. I am going to babysit him for 2 days a week during Oct. and she wants me to see and experience a full day of his activities with her. He is only 2 months old and she is really trying to get him into a daily routine before she has to return to work. I guess I am awake at nite so I can pretend that I am a new mother that has been up all night with her baby and try to function all day with little sleep. lol

I guess I will peruse the forum for a short while, and then try to go back to bed. Hope to hear in the morning that you have made it through the nite OK. This is the first time that I have known friends that are going through this type of storm, and I am feeling it with you all.

Stay well my friend,
Donna

Thank you Donna for the very kind words. We are doing fine this a.m. Just lots of water all over. It is still raining here and some wind gusts, nothing like last night. I am pretty tired..lol. I need to go out and feed the critters. Thank you all for the emails, prayers and keeping us in yall prayers. ((((Lisa))))

good to hear that you are safe Lisa and made it through the night ok. I'm up at 3am every morning and just now got my last batch of banana muffins out of the oven. I tripled the batch this morning,as they don't last long around here,by the time my DH takes some to work and I get some in the freezer;providing they last that long that is,then I share with some of the neighbors and friends around here, it's time to start over with another batch again.
Keep safe my friend and prayers are with you and everyone else who may be effected by the storms that are going through the southern and eastern states right now.
Anyone hear anything from anyone in Tenn.?

Lincoln City, OR(Zone 9a)

Glad to hear that you made it through the night without losing your tree onto your house. I fell asleep on my keyboard so when I woke I decided it was time to go to bed. LOL Did your M$M's last the night? I could send you some new ones if I could figure out how to do it through the computer! Prayers for all of you affected by this storm. Lani
