why is the PDB locked this morning?

i wanted to add a suaveolens brugmansia to the database, only to see a notification it is locked. are we no longer allowed to add photo or entry? just wondering.

i went back to the PDB to check again... only to see a new entry added. then it agains stated the PDB is locked for new threads...

You are trying to post directly to the PDB Pictures forum, which isn't allowed. What you need to do is find you plant and add your picture there, and then it will appear in the forum.

Go straight to this page:
http://brugmansias.com/go/2098/

If you are already logged into brugmansias.com, then scroll to the bottom, click on "Upload a picture" and then fill out the form. The picture will then be added to the plant, as well as to the PDB Pictures forum.

i did do a search, but it brought me no where. never had any problem adding an entry before. things got changed, pls. don't get me wrong. i love new changes but kinda difficult if no one knew about it.

MaVie, this shouldn't have been a change. You *should* be able to add a plant, photo, description, etc. to the PDB at any time. But what I think Dave is saying is that you can't create a new thread in the "PDB pictures" forum; the threads are created by the system when a new photo is added to the PDB. Please try it again, and let us know if you're still experiencing problems...

Thanks Terry, i did try again, with some maneuvering around. i have to relearn the new way. took me a while but i got there finally and was able to add my contribution.

pls. understand also, prior to adding any entry to the Plants Database, i try to research first if there are existing plant/s cause i try not to duplicate any entry.
