In the plants database picture forum can people not subscribed see that forum? I know a lot of non-subscribed people are submitting lots of great photos and didn't know if they could see the comments we make to the photo or not.

mystic, non-subscribers can not only view all the replies, but they can (and do) post to the PDB Pictures forum. It's currently the only forum that is completely open to non-subscribers.

I should add that the PDB Pictures forum is actually officially a part of the Plants Database (you can access that forum through the PDB site) and only exists on DG as a convenience to us subscribers.

Non-subscribers use it exclusively via the PDB site.

That's a definite hope of mine! I want to grow our subscriber base as much as possible, and bringing a lot of the PDB folks into our community seems like an excellent place to start.

that is true Carol. i somehow managed to convince a few who are now members of DG. there are still a few, i am trying to convince at the moment. plants i entered on the Plants Database led them to send me email. i've made some friends and good trades in the process too. Thanks Dave :)!
