As many of you know my 8yr old DS fell last Saturday night and cut a big gash in his head and had to be rushed to the ER. They put 2 staples in his head to close the gash. Later that night after we got back home he was showing his other 2 brothers the staples, and one of them asked me "how" they were going to get the staples out when he goes back to the Dr...and before I could say anything, Jessy spoke up and said "I bet they are going to use a flat screw driver"!!! LOL I laughed soo hard at him b/c he honestly thought that they would really do it this way!
After I collected myself and stopped laughing I told them the real way they take them out.
LOL Just thought this would make ya'll laugh too, I know I got a kick out of it!
Kids say the darndest things
Molly, that is funny. Children are just full of wonder and laughter arent they?
So,Mollybee, You mean they DON'T use a flat screwdriver?? Hope they don't don't use a Phillips head!!!
(kidz are great).
LOL *Ü*
Hey, when DH had back surgery, they used staples, and I had to take off work to take him to the doctor to have them removed. I was only semi-joking when I suggested I could have done it myself with our own needle-nosed pliers if I had known that's what the professionals used! (I got a real funny look from the nurse...but they DID look like just like 'em, although they were pretty clean ;0)
I would be too afraid to try it as tempting as it sounds. Believe me saving us a trip to the Dr's office to have them taken out would help us out alot!! I just wish they had used regular thread stitches and I really would take those out and save a trip to the Dr's!! But I'm not taking any chances here, just might as well face it I have to pay another Dr's bill!! Yuck!!
Go, you are right about wanting to do it yourself. It would save some money.
I love the things kids say. Sometimes they can be so funny that they make you feel better. If it is other peoples children it is even better if it is embarrasing. :)
