I just love the darker colored Brugs. Is Esmaraldes
another one of those that we in the U.S. can't get?

I bumped this one so we could compare it to Kyle's Pink. When shown side by side there is quite a difference.Shows how much I can trust my memory.

jerodsmom.........yes sad but true!!!

What if we cross L'Amour to Kyles Pink? Wouldn't that darken the pink, but still keep the versicolor shape? Just thinking(which could be dangerous). L'Amour is about the color of Esmereldas isn't it? I'll do that cross both ways as soon as I can. I didn't go out in the rain yesterday to pollinate, but might get a little break today.

JT's memory isn't totally wrong, my kyle's pink was darker in the summer, but i still wonder if this pic os esmeraldas is quite for real. i like kyle's pink a little lighter myself. the texture looks rougher when it's darker.

Cala.....which is the pic you posted this morning, L'Amour or Kyle's Pink? It sure is a beauty!

When I first saw the picture of Esmeraldas - I thought they had doctored the picture - it was so beautiful I thought it was unreal.

This picture shows the color better. The pink has a brownish touch.
