I just came from the Gommer site myself. It is a beauty!
It is indeed a beauty. Esmeraldas keeps flowering at my place since early August.
Man, I love this one. Beautiful.
I'm so glad you said this is really Esmeraldas Monika. I'd hate to think that I've been lusting after a fake Frosty. I can keep on wanting it now. Someday!

I looked at my KP today and it is a close match for color.The shape is slightly more "versi"(thinner) on the Kyle's Pink.
i agree, JT, a little thinner and maybe a bit longer. has been a good bloomer for me too.
And it's the same colour????

As you requested Brugie. Kyle's Pink. This flower did darken a little more and was just a little lighter than EP.It may change color in a warmer climate too.

I'd say that color is a bit short of having Esmeralda's color, but still a pretty soft pink.
Compared to the Esmeraldas picture KP is lighter and a different color pink. I don't know if there is another to compare to the dark pink and shade of the Esmeraldas.
Snow, JT is right, kyle's pink, at least here in the south, is very close to the esmeraldas color. it starts white and goes through shades of pink to a dark pink. have blooms opening, will try to catch a pic. the last pics i took had the sun shining on them and affected the color some.
Send me two of those Esmeraldas please:) Might as well throw in a couple of Kyle's Pink too:)

not playing favorites!! I have a box already going out to him, so just easier to take a cutting now than later. I should have a few cuttings of this one later on.
snow, i love that pic you took. i thought it would get darker for you, i haven't had an EP bloom yet! i like the color of your pink in the pic though, it looks like the color on pink floyd.

Snow,mine is much darker than the one you posted.It's about to bloom again.I'll try to get a picture this time.
Waaaahhhh! I want to live in Florida where all the pinks are darker.

I'd love to have darker pinks too, but not if I had to live in horrible heat all the time. I think living where Cala is would be about the best. Still a cool winter, but longer growing season.
