Forum Subscription - what do you think?

Today I launched our new forum subscription service, which lets you customize the DG homepage to only show those forums that you are interested in.

Furthermore, you'll notice that when you go to subscribe to these, you see that they are categorized, making it easier to make your selection.

You are still able to get the full list of all forums by clicking on 'Forums' on the menu.

I see some of you are already using this feature. What are your thoughts? Do you like it? Is the interface intuitive enough?

I like it....when I first saw it, I wondered what it was, and then it dawned on me that it was your way of solving the "too many forums" syndrome. Thanks!

I had one unanswered question after reading your intro - what if I want to go look at another forum that I haven't subscribed to. After I finished subscribing, I saw where I can always update my subscripton; question answered.

Just signed on today, and am working my way through the site. I think the forum idea is great, especially since you keep the forum open for a few days so that if I miss a day or two, can catch up.

Love it Dave! I can get right to the forums that I always use now. Thanks! Mick

Welcome to DG, Agapanthus! Great nickname by the way....I planted my first agapanthus bulbs this spring, thanks to a generous gardener sharing her divisions with me. I don't expect flowers this year, although if they did bloom, I'd be tickled pink.

I love the new subscription service, now all of my favorite forums are there, plus, the stress of not being able to read every post in every forum has been significantly reduced...now just to keep up with the other 20 :)

Always a help, when a feature is added, that makes good use of time. More time to garden, thanks!
