Cactus Forum.

Dave, do you think we could have a forum for cactus? Or change the name of the Succlents to Cactus and Succulents. I understand there is a difference, but most all post any cactus info in Succulents. ??? Jo

I never knew there was a difference until today, but Jo's right. Maybe that would be a good idea.

I like the idea:)

Good Idea, Boss......how about the name change?

Is "Cacti and Succulents" okay? They should both be plural, or they should both be singular, methinks. Succulents was already plural so I added Cacti.

If I should change it, let me know. The change has been made!

Thanks Dave...you are da man! Jo

Hola from El Jefe! All Cactus are succulents but not all succulents are Cactus. Cactus are new world plants only. They grow from the southern provinces of Canada to the tip of South America. They grow in other places in the world, but were all imported. There are no fossil cactus. Our botanical garden in Bisbee, Arizona is home to over 800 cold hardy cactus & succulents. Cactus is a better word than Cacti, just call the forum Cactus & Succulents.

I have some marvelous photos of cactus flowers to share with everyone. How do I add a photo to my message? Brain-dead in Bisbee...it's early!

What a suprise to see this thread surface.

Sadly, ElJefe ....David Eppley, died a couple of years ago of cancer...his beautiful cactus gardens were closed to the public...unless they found someone to take them over...which I have not heard of so far. Jo
