Some Finns have started making "Cut Coin Jewelry" of coins from different countries. I think they look pretty neat, but are pretty expensive... They can be bought from Helsinki right now. :)

Cut Coin Jewelry
Evert, there was a guy here at our Saturday Market that used to make these. I dont know where he got his coins, but I was surprised that he had some of Turkey, and of course, we bought some, they weren't too expensive as I recall.
Look nice, I like "South Africa" 2 birds together and
"Cypros" Bird most and all other look nice. It must be hard working on coins make .

Yes, Evert. Both my son's (in their 30's now) made these coin cut outs in their art classes in high school. It's a small world!
Those are very nice! Jo
I wonder how they do those? Must be hard work especially with small coins.
Back when my sons made them I thing they used a tiny bandsaw of some sort, then finished the edges. It was rather a slow process. Of course these days will all the new tools on the market, there is probably an easier way.
