These flowers were cut today.

Elizabethton (Stoney, TN(Zone 6b)

There are about 9 different kinds of plants in this bouquet. It might not be that artistic, but it sure is colorful!

Very pretty - you must have had rain - I could't cut nine of anything blooming!!

(Zone 5a)

The more the better, they are beautiful.

We've had a little rain, but not recently. I do need to water things tonight. Lots of drooping going on out there. Sure wish this 90 degree heat would end ...

Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

Nice! Oh, gotta love fresh-cut bouquets from your own yard, huh? :)

Oh how beautiful. Don't you just love bringing the beauty of your garden indoors. That is a gorgeous bouquet of flowers.

Perrysburg, OH(Zone 5a)

One of the most satisfying things about gardening, enjoying the fruits of your labor!!!!
They are just beautiful!!

(Zone 5a)

GrannyL I know what you mean, I water my garden every morning or evening. My poor container plants always seems to be drooping. I even have the water crystals in the soil but it doesn't seem to help them at all, but I did use the soilless mix I will know better next year.

Dayton, OH(Zone 5a)

Lovely! Nothing I've ever seen in a store ~ that's for certain!

Wind, I'm not following you around (honestly :) I did buy a soaker hose, FINALLY! It took me forever to justify it, but it's really helpful in just the few days I've had it! They even had a minature size soaker hose. It's really amazing what exists out there. Where there's a need, there seems to be an answer :) (At a price, though...)

Efland, NC(Zone 7a)

Wow...great bouquet!
Am I seeing dahlia, celosia, rudbeckia(?), and something looks like a leaf of basil!?
That is a trophy! Be proud!

Belfield, ND(Zone 4a)

It's beautiful! My goal is to someday have enough plants to be able to make such a wonderful arrangement. Good job with the arranging too, 'cuz it looks good enough to sit on the table for company to me!

Georgetown, TX(Zone 8a)

Just beautiful! I like the natural look of it, none of the stiffness but a lovely informal effect. Classic.

Alfred, ON(Zone 4b)

Granny Lois thats so pretty :)

Elizabethton (Stoney, TN(Zone 6b)

Thanks for the compliments everyone. I'm going to take it to work, but haven't decided who to give it to yet. Maybe our trusty computer guru ....

Scotia, CA(Zone 9b)

Beautiful colors GL! Do you have a breakroom where everyone could enjoy them?

Middle, TN(Zone 6b)

Horseshoe, That is perillia. I gave a lot of plants away at our Roundup in Crossville. I have seeds every year if you want some. It re-seeds well and you will never be without it again once you have it. Of course you have to let some of the plants go to seed. Lots of folks trim the seeds out like you do with coleus.

Efland, NC(Zone 7a)

Thanks Ellen. That is the reddish-bronze leaf, right?
I was looking to the right of that one at the little green leaf, but maybe that green leaf is part of the celosia...hard to tell.

Laurel, DE(Zone 7a)

How colorful - I just love to see sprays of all sorts of color, it is a real pick me up!

Bodrum, Turkey(Zone 10a)

GL, I love your bouquet, great composition, color and presentation. I like the plume celosia. were those from seed? and were they easy?

Middle, TN(Zone 6b)

Yes Shoe, It is the one center front.

Efland, NC(Zone 7a)

Very nice plant Ellen (I had to go look it up in the PDB.)

I don't think I need any seeds but will look around to see if I see an out of the way place that is bare and could benefit from it!

(Zone 5a)

GrannyL I'll meet you at work and you can give them to me, just pulling your leg lol. Whomever you give them to will surely be please to get them.

Elizabethton (Stoney, TN(Zone 6b)

Yes, Pebble, they grew back from last year (reseeded itself).

Celosia (two types), peppermint, zinnias, gold colored cosmos, the big purple coleus, butterfly bush, sedum, and melampodium (little yellow ones).

No basil or dahlia - I should have put dahlia in there, tho. I have a nice red dahlia plant, thanks to somebody at the round-up.

Bodrum, Turkey(Zone 10a)

GL, will you be harvesting seeds of the plume celosia?

I am still planning on sending the corsican mint, just waiting for it to cool down some. (seems to me that I was going to send you something else.....can remember)

Elizabethton (Stoney, TN(Zone 6b)

I will get you some, Pebble. It has several colors - from dark pink to light pink to almost beigy. Yes, I wanted some of your corsican mint sometime. I can't remember anything else, tho.

Seward, AK(Zone 3b)

This is such a lovely bouquet, Grannylois. Lots of different flowers! It's nice to see some of the old varieties my dad used to grow in his garden! Most of them don't do well up here.

Elizabethton (Stoney, TN(Zone 6b)

I put that bouquet in the women's restroom which is very institutionally plain, if you know I mean - no wallpaper, no paint, no decorations of any kind.

Here's a new little bouquet I made for my desk. My office needs some air freshener and I'm thinking the spearmint or peppermint will do the trick.
