we are heading out to my aunts house and to a meal fit for a king. she just emailed me to say that dinner was a cookin. she is the only lining aunt i have left and we get along good. there is only 4 yrs difference in our age so she is more like a friend than aunt.

Ihope and pray for all my friends here at daves to have a great and peaceful day! Talk with ya all tonight.

I'm having a wee quiet day at my 'puter, and running out now & then to look at my plants, then tonight I'm going to a concert of Dianna Krall, (the Canadian jazz singer).

It's a crisp autumn day here in Seward, Alaska. We had a nice Sunday breakfast with my son, who lives down the road. I made pancakes and sausage. We topped off the pancakes with fresh honeoye strawberries from the garden and whipped cream.

At the moment, I'm feeling a bit guilty about not getting out in the yard to begin dumping pots, etc. (it's not yet afternoon) We're on the downhill end of summer here, and it's time to begin buttoning things up. However, here I am at the keys, enjoying good company at Dave's.

We've just been puttering around doing some odds and ends things in the house and yard. I picked some monster zucchini that would make swell baseball bats. I'm going to make a batch of Salsa tonight with the tomatoes I picked yesterday. Oh, and you know you live in a small rural area when your hairdresser calls you on Sunday and is willing to cut your hair. LOL! She was gone for a few days and I had left a message on her answering machine. So, I got a haircut today.

Dianna Krall is one of my DH favorites! Having a peaceful day here too. Went to church, had a great meal out, took a nap and planted a few small plants. Will go play trivia and eat out tonight.

Oh my did we ever eat too much. she put on quite a feast. my uncle gave my hubby a boat, trailer and motor that works so he was in hog-heaven as they say. just got home wqith it and a new addition to our family. a lovely little blue parakeet. my aunt did not have time to tend to it and his mate died so WE ABROOUGHT HIM HOME aand he is sining up a storm. what have i done now lol like i don't have enough animals to tend to. heer cats were trying to eat it and i just couldn't leave it there. well gotta get school close together for tomorrow so will talk with ya all later tonight.

JCF wasn't that nice of your uncle to give the boat and all to your DH. I know how you feel about the cat's trying to eat the bird mine did the same thing and I had to keep a close eye on them. After a couple of swats with news paper and loud no's Miss Kitty Fuzz finally got the message, she would just sit and watch him. Good luck with your new family memeber. Now that your stuffed with a wonderful dinner you can just sit back and relax and enjoy your evening after you get the school clothes together lol.
