Plant category: cactus/succulent?

Grove City, OH(Zone 6a)

How about it in the PDB? Enough of us grow them to make it worthwhile?

The reason there isn't a category for them has to do with some new structure in the PDB since we upgraded it. The plan is to have a database for cacti/succulents just as we have separate areas for Iris, Hosta, Daylilies, etc.

The reason it hasn't been done yet is because there's just one of me (despite any rumors about my "evil twin" that you might have heard, lolol) And (as you know) I've been busy working on Roses. Unless something else comes up in the meantime, Cactus/Succulents is the next major area to tackle :) I could use some volunteers to help with it, though...

I am a definite newbie to growing them, but I have long been an admirer. I think a couple of the So Cal and AZ members would do a MUCH better job with knowledgable info about most of them, but if no one else steps up, give me a yell when the roses are done. I will do my poor pitiful best ;)

Go-vols...me and farizona are going to visit the Arizona Cactus Research Center on Sept 9th or 10th. I hope to pick up some booklets that will give me more latin names for these pictures I have of our local cactus....any help I can give I will be happy to do. You'll have to teach me how to put them there though. Jo
