Logo (again)

Come on guys and gals- I know that we have some really creative people out there. Yet, I've not received any suggestions for a new logo :(
The contest ends tommorrow- put those thinking caps on, and send those logos to: !

Trish - as I am new to this site, I didn't realize you were looking for a new logo. I would be happy to work on one, but sure can't get you one by today! :-) What type of medium were you wanting? Software graphics, sketching, painting? I also was wondering how elaborate you wanted it -- the full "Dave's Garden" or just the DG? Let me know if you're going to extend the deadline and I'll start working on something.

mom24cats - I don't know where Trish is right now, so I'll answer:

Computer graphics would be best, so we could easily incorporate it into the site. We also may want to make bumper stickers and T-shirts, etc, with the logo.

As far as how elaborate, Trish doesn't like abbreviating it to DG in the logo - I'm sure she'd much rather see the full name "Dave's Garden" represented.

And don't worry about the deadline. ;-)

Thanks, Dave...I'm sure people wonder about our posts- Da*e and I have seperate computers, and seperate offices- his is even in a seperate house on the property, so we don't see each other much during the day. In fact, we read each other's posts and email to keep up!

4cats- Dave is right, I don't like the DG, I want the full name, and computer graphics are prefered for the reasons that he mentioned. Other than that, pretty much anything goes. Neither one of us are very good with the graphic software, so I'm very excited to see what you come up with. Feel free to email me directly, or use the forum. Since I don't have a drawing tablet yet, (it's on the wish list that keeps getting longer!), how do you feel about incorporating public domain graphics into a the logo?

Just wanted to let you know that I have been "playing" around with several graphics programs for a logo over the last few weeks. I have a few "rough" logos for you look at but...now I need my husband, the computer guru, to help me get them into jpg form. I just can't seem to do it and get all of the data to convert.!? I asked him before he left for work if he'd help me so I can get them to ya. Unless you are in a hurry...

One of them may be ok, as gif?... have several graphic programs for gif's...can even animate the logo if you'd like, heeehee. But as I said...hubby is the computer/graphic/html guru, I'm just a beginner but having fun. Your logo gave me the opportunity to "make" myself learn! So even if you don't choose to use any...I have had a great learning experience. Thanks!

I have not animated any of them, I know you don't want that... it was just so fun playing with the antimation! LoL.

No worries here! I'd just remove the animation. ;-)

Gif is fine, by the way. I have a conversion program.

Shron- I'm not in a _huge_ hurry, but I would like it done, just to have one less thing to worry about :) Public domain graphics are fine- I've been looking there myself.

Jody- The easiest way to send them out is my emailing them directly to me: . If you've ever sent out a picture through email, the process is the same.

I'm off work tonight and tomorrow night. I'll draw some stuff freehand and see what I can do in my grphics program to enhance it. Any particular font style you want? I have LOTS of fonts from very boring to very elaborate. I can convert to .jpg and send as an attachment.

Choose whatever font you think is pretty. I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with!

Sharon- I had in mind a font that would look like grapevines- is this even possible? Otherwise, just whatever. That's a pretty easy thing to change, if we didn't like the font.

Are you still taking logo ideas? I am a graphic artist/illustrator so I can submit some ideas if you are still looking for any.
