Rain at last!

Helsinki, Finland(Zone 4b)

About 5 weeks without rain.... today in school on Swedish lesson watched out of window and saw that it was raining :D Well, think this is the end of summer now, we had a great August, the warmest and driest (well, the drought wasn't good for plants) for 100 years!

I hope the day temperature would still stay above +20 for a couple of weeks. :P

You are lucky; it is still dry and to hot to do anything here in Norway. The school has just started for me too; and I am swetting thru organic chemistry. The temperatures lay around 30 deg. here; sometimes up to 35. It doesn't happen often; but I really want some rain now:)

Yeah, some days were horrible, over +40 in sun and minimum +26 C in shade. ¦Þ

School started 2 weeks ago for me. :}

Evert, we too have had the driest summer on record. In summers past, I remember going weeks without seeing the sun, and being determined to move. But this summer has been a true summer, we had some veryhot days, some mild days and mostly perfect days. We can all tell the lack of rain on our lawns, not lush and green as usual, most of us are watering them, but still have spots here and there of dry lawn. I will be happy to see some rain.
