WAtching your thread

I often click on "Watch This Thread" after I have asked a question or hope to see a reply to a post. It's nice to come to DG and see that I have a response. But after I have read the response, the particular thread it was posted to disappears from the list of those I am watching. This happens without my clicking on "Stop Watching This Thread". Sometimes I need to go back to my original post more than once, such as in the Media Forum where I have started a Round Robin Book Swap. Can someone help me with this? Have you experienced the same problem?

Woodspirit, do you mean it disappears from the list on your front/home page (the one that says "Welcome home, Woodspirit!")? That's normal ~ when you first log on to that page, it'll show you a list of all your watched threads that have had new responses since you last checked them. Once you click on a thread there and read it, it dissappears from your front/home page because there aren't any new responses that you haven't read. If someone posts a new response, it'll show back up in that list to let you know someone else posted a new response on that thread. So you click on it, read, and it disappears again.

Or does it disappear from the complete list of all your watched threads, the list you find by clicking on "Member Page" in "Woodspirit's Menu", then "View the threads you are "watching"? It shouldn't dissappear from that list unless you click on "Stop watching this thread." If this is what's happening, then there IS a bug in the Garden! LOL!

I think you may be right, Wingnut, I'll have to double-check. It seems like a couple have come back. Time will tell.

If you're watching hundreds (like some, ahem...LOL), you could always bookmark a particular thread. I made a folder on my links toolbar in Internet Explorer and I have a few bookmarks to DG threads saved in that folder. That saves me having to go to my watched threads page and search for one I'm wanting to see again.
