Uploading new photos question

Grove City, OH(Zone 6a)

Windsurffer came over a few weeks ago and took a whole lot of gorgeous photos of many of my plants. She later gave me a CD with the photos on it. I feel that we have joint-ownership of the photos, so I am trying to include that in my notes, but I am not positive that I feel right about accepting that I "own" the photo, since she took them. She definitely told me that she was giving the photos to me, but I still feel funny, they are her works of art! Yes, my plants, her photos, a joint venture, you might say. Is there a better way to reflect that here? I don't want sole credit in the listings.

Glad to see you posting again, kathy! I would think you could include a comment with the photo, saying it was taken by Windsurffer -- journals and PDB submissions have a spot for a note of explanation.

I am tiptoeing around, trying to get caught up :) I have been putting her name in the comment section but it really bothers me (gives me a guilty conscience) to see only my name credited in the thumbnails. Is there a way to give joint credit? I hope so! Her photography skill is wonderful, a whole lot better than mine.

I've seen your photo captions, and I think they're fine :)

But can something be added in the credit area to credit more than one member? Please? Pretty please with Windsurffer on top? LOL She doesn't know I am asking about this (at least I haven't told her yet), but I did share with her my feelings when she gave me the CD.

If you really wanted to, a solution might be to edit the image before you upload it. Then you can add your own text to the bottom (something like "Photo by windsurffer").

That's a winner, Dave.

Deal! It will slow down my submissions, but it will make me feel much better! Thanks Dave.

Lupy I told you that they are yours and I am so pleased that you want to post them, no need for guilt. You can sell them if you want they are yours, I do appreciate the fact that you do give me credit for snapping them (((BIG HUG)))
