Some of you know I'm a blogger and love reading other peoples' blogs, and one of my favorite ones is Big White Guy at http://www.bigwhiteguy.com . He's an American who's lived in China for almost four years now, and he gives some wonderful - and sometimes really funny - perspectives in his journal entries.
The one I've really enjoyed reading tonight is a photo-diary of a trip he and his wife Mabel took to Macau China, a former Portuguese colony recently returned to the control of the Peoples Republic of China. He said it was like stepping into Europe in some places.
Anyway, he took lots of pictures to illustrate his story, and he's a great photographer. I think you'll find it fascinating. :) Enjoy! http://bigwhiteguy.com/tales/53.shtml
Armchair Travel to Macau China
This Big White Guy is sure enjoying himself in China. Nice of him to share his experiences with words and photos. Where in the heck did you find this site?
Hmmmmm...I think I found his site through Busgirlie's site - http://girl-on-a-bus.com (she's a DG member now - yippee!). When you go to Blogger.com, there are links to all kinds of weblogs; I tell ya, there's some really cool and fascinating people out there.
Another site that is a wonderful source of links is Eatonweb Portal at http://portal.eatonweb.com/ - a directory of blogs. You can search by category, language, location...even search by interests/keywords. It's pretty neat, and I just registered my own blog from gardenwife.com there a few days ago.
I love reading peoples writing, and there is just such an abundance of good writing in weblogs - the best thing is, they're everyday peoples' lives and insights, not just some pundit's views on things.

Macau(Macao),an island of 6 square miles near Hongkong,is a place where west meets east.people there speak Cantonese (Chinese spoken in the south) and Portuguese.i hear that the tropical gardens there are very attractive.Even the common Salvias will reach two meters tall or more.hope to have a chance to visit it some day.):
Wow, I would love to see those gardens, Jianhua. This fellow didn't take as many garden pictures as I'd have liked, but that's not his main interest. He loves architecture, I think.
I have colllected many beautiful flower pictures from Chinese flower magazines (since 1996).i'd like to post some and share with everyone here.but my pc is bare --no scanner or digi-camera attached to it.):
