recipe book-changes needed

south central, WI(Zone 5a)

I saw a copy of the recipe book today and would like to make a couple of
adjustments to the recipes that I submitted.
First: I made a mistake in the Dragon cookies-had proofed the recipe several times, but still missed it--I use the white baking chips with the walnuts, instead of the chocolate chips; this is what makes them the "Dragon Cookies" (instead of good chocolate chip cookies)

Second: For the Chocolate mousse cake: an alternate for the nut crust was left out. I use 15-18 Oreo cookies (whole cookie)and process them into crumbs and use them instead of the hazelnut/butter for the crust. I grease the inside of the pan and pat in the crumbs on the bottom and about 3/4 of the way up the side- put the pan in a 350 oven for three minutes to set it up and then take it out to cool for a few minutes before proceding.
I think this is an important alternative to have, as there are so many folks (like me and pecans) who are allergic to nuts and this is too good of a cake to have to pass up.
I apologise for the mistake in the Dragon cookies-it makes such a wonderful and different taste, and I hope that the alternate crust makes the cake accessible to everyone.

Thanks Marcia! I have printed this out 3 times and will add it to my cookbook and also the two I bought for my daughters for their Christmas stocking.

I made note in my book too, Thanks!!

Boy JoanJ, If they get such things as this cookbook in their stocking...I wish I was one of your daughters!! LOL Just the book alone would make a good stuffer, I can imagine what else you'll be stuffing in there too! LOL

LOL Molly, these are some really spoiled kids. I wrecked them a long time ago and once they are wrecked, it's hard to un-do it. LOL! What else will I be stuffing in there with the cookbook? I try to keep their stockings *themed* every year, and since this is one of the first years they have both been on their own, I'll put in some spatulas and such.

Cool idea Joan! Bet they are gonna love it!!
