Look at the pictures of your town that I found:

Zameluzza - look what I found
Gosh, what a flat place! I always imagined Canada to be sort of hilly/mountainous and leafy. I bet you get lots of sunshine - unlike this Alpine valley where I live.
*LOL* yep pretty flat here.
I live close to the Bog walk, it's not on the picture. I'm out in the country. from my south side I can cross two fields and I'm on the Bog walk.(bush)
I will make some pictures and post them here for you all.
thanks GrannyLois for looking up where I'm from :) makes me feel special *** :-) ***
I don't see any pictures, GL - where in the page are they?
Ummmmmm.....Nevermind! Just saw the "Visit Our Towns..." translation in the middle of the right-hand frame.

Gosh I didn't check the hyperlink as I posted it, but when it comes up, click on Alfred (the bottom line of town listings) That's her town.
here are some more information on the Alfred Bog

I try to go tomorrow and make some pictures for you.
Good Hyperlink Zameluzza. Thanks.
I do hope the by-law continued and became a permanent law and the bog is now a conservation area.
Switzerland has the same problem - farming and peat cutting destroying bogland areas. Since we came there there was a law enforced to conserve one important bogland area (Rothenturm) and there was an outcry from local farmers.
How interesting to learn about your bog and your area, Carmen. You live in a neat place! Thanks for the hyperlink.
I posted some pictures in my Journal I took this morning. I hope I did everything right.
please tell me if it worked.
I'm trying to convince my DH to go in to the bush this afternoon. since from the Bogwalk you don't see much. I prefer to go in to the bush from another place. we have some land where we can cross a ditch and be in. much better plants there and also more wildlife.
If I go I will add more pictures later tonight.
