help with journals

I had started a default journal and I think I made it too detailed and complicated so I'm trying to transfer the same information to a new journal but with fewer "levels" to go through. Is there a way to transfer the info in a catagory or by individual entry( by RID#?) from one journal to another? I want the same info but formatted differently.I've read the tutorial but don't find this addressed. Thanks for any help!! MW

You can make a clone of the information and move it to the new journal, then delete it from the old. You can also go to the item and go to copy and copy it to a new spot.

What I did was set up a new journal the way I wanted it, then started moving items from the default journal into the new journal. To do this, I think I chose to view each item in the default jornal seperately, and then there was a link to move to another journal? It's been awhile so I'd have to check on that again.
