Movies forum to compliment the Bookworm forum?

Could we have a forum to discuss movies? There's been some discussions under General Discussion, but as with the book discussions, they can get lost in the melee of threads.

Why not change Bookworm to Media Forum, then books, films, music, theatre etc. could be discussed there, and hopefully then, as you say GW, the threads wont be spread all over the site.

I must admit though, I have never actually posted on any thread apertaining to the entertainment media, or arts on this site, but I would think they could all fit in one forum, and make that forum quite interesting.

Whadya think?

Whoops. That's what I just suggested in another thread. Seems like it would work to use the BookWorms Forum for both (or multiple) uses...it doesn't seem to ever be overloaded with book topics at any given time. Guess we'd have to rename it tho.

I watched it a few days back. I've been watching that site for quite a while now, and there are some great films on there. I must admit though, as a big tough Scotsman, that film brought a few tears to my eyes, and so many lumps in my throat, that I wont be hungry for a week..... lol.

I'm checking back my old DG newsletters, and haven't clocked many posts for bookworm, so instead of having another Forum, let's have just one Entertainment Media, or so... or such.... or whatever.... ehh, that's all....

I thought the same, about the book forum...there is room for more topics.
Also thought the same about the movie, was delightfully moving (absolutely no pun intended).
See, I could go on now and ask you what other great movies you've witnessed on that site, and then the topic would continue. Great idea GW.
However, dave usually likes to hear from more than just a couple folks so pehaps if others want to volunteer thoughts/info then they'll come forward. At this time it looks like just a new forum name will suffice tho (to me, that is). (And then of course, put the word out.)

That's a good idea to expand the bookworm forum, but I suppose having a separate forum wouldn't be any different than the many plant-specific plant forums here (I mean, we have Garden Talk, but also Perennials, but also Hostas, but also Roses...). But, then again, DG is primarily a gardening site.

When I saw the post, I had the same idea as 'shoe and Wintermoor. I seldom post on the Book forum, but I'd think a "Media Forum" ("Books and Film"?) could meet all the needs.

Books and Film - I like that! Or maybe, "Books, TV & Film"?

I like the idea of expanding the book forum to 'Media', that would cover a lot and we wouldn't have to add another forum. I've been to the book forum a bit and agree there are not a lot of new posts every day so consolidation with movies, film all types of media makes sense to me.

Okay, I changed the name of the forum to "Media", and the description to:

"A virtual discussion group for all entertainment-oriented media. Pull up a comfy chair and sit a spell."

(Didn't see a "dave logo" there tho...hmmm, maybe someone sitting in a comfy chair, reading a book while looking at a movie screen, and listening to music at the same time? That would cover almost all the media!)
