I mailed three priority boxes today and almost fainted at the postage. They weren't even big boxes.
Priority Postage
it hasn't gone up much for most of the things I've mailed, but if it goes cross country watch out!
Under a pound it's flat rate $3.85 anywhere, but after that it's anyone's guess how much it'll be.
Try running an automated e-commerce shop (as I do) and calculate postage automatically! It's impossible. You end up just "eating" the extra cost of postage.
I complain to the postmaster every time I go to our post office. :(

Honibee just emailed me, and she got taken to the cleaners!!!
Hi HoniBee, glad to see you posting again. I just received a package today, took 16 days to get here!!! Thankfully it was a hosta, and was in almost perfect condition, must have been sleeping in some airconditioned warehouse. That beats the old record of 9 days... John
They are trying to recoop from the anthrax! LOL I know...not funny but that's how it goes!
well, I feel a bit better about talking with Honibee, I misunderstood what she was saying, but still, if you don't mail close, it's gonna cost you. Hate that cause it messes up trading, or makes you really stop and think.
Dave,
i can very well relate to what u say. what normally cost us $100.00 for postage now do cost us far beyond $150 if not $200.00 on a daily basis.
packages we mail priority, always goes out with delivery confirmation receipt. i do not see any difference in the way they were delivered... still normal 2 or 3 days for nationwide delivery: 1 day within the state. in fact, our customers commends us for prompt delivery.
Monday, i shipped plant packages nationwide, last i check to track delivery, they were all received today! i don't understand why other packages would take that long, unless they were done surface mail. just my 2 cents.
MaVieRose - do you use the free delivery confirmation avaialable if you print your Priority Mail labels online at the USPS website?
https://sss-web.usps.com/ds/jsps/index.jsp
That saves some money on the delivery confirmation, anyway!

no we do not. those can not be tracked. we liked to keep record and track customer packages.
thank, U i do remember u posting it before. we tried it twice and discovered we can not keep track of the packages.
I just sent out a 10 lb. pkg. yesterday, regular mail, and it was $14.30.
"eyes"
beat ya eyes mine was 14.80! lol
Thats what I will never understand - they charge you extra to tell you they delivered something, when you already paid them to do it and that's what their in business to do.
If you ship anything Parcel Post (4th class) it is automatic 2 weeks mimiun delivery time and usually up to 4 weeks is normal. Been there, done that, will not again!!!!!
