We finally got good rains today...slow soaking drops after a couple thunderstorms with some wind! I am grateful but it was unwelcomed at this time for we are in the middle of putting a new roof over older mobile home and have been fighting to keep it covered with poly...What a pain!
Our ground was hard as a rock! We had to use a auger to dig holes for post! My plants have suffered as I watered by it was not enough...
My brugs even look alot greener from the rain! LOL
I am grateful!!!
PJ...I hope you got good rains too and all who else needed it!
Sweet.Sweet Rain!
It seems everytime we NEED rain we get it right before everything wilts and when we get it-it comes in INCHES!!!
I guess I just have to except that someday i have to stay in and clean that darn house!
Yes - we also got a good soaker - I didn't even mind that the power went off for a while just as I was cooking supper. I had all my buckets & 2 wheelbarrows lined up to catch as much as I could.
No rain for 3 weeks. Too hot everyday. Never had a summer as warm as this. :P
Glad you got some rain. I love how it smells after a rain. And the plants get so green too. Settles the dust onto the cars and then you have to wash the cars too. giggle I would love that again.
We still need rain and they are calling it a drought now. Thankfully my pond supplies us with water for my acreage without any problems but how long can that last?
