well she is not mine............LOL..............
for trade
until 11:42 pm i thought i owed you brugs, ms kell!!! CRC strikes again!
if everything works out well, i will be everyone's best friend, even ms kell, who used to get mail......
Awww Arlene, you're already my best friend even if you didn't have suitcases full of Brugs. :)
Arlene - you're my best friend too. Suitcases of brugs sounds a bit Casablanca.
Best wishes for tomorrow - take care.
Not so fast Ms. Arlene.......you are not my new best friend because you are my old best friend..........LOL, that did not sound right!!!! I guess I should have claimed your brugs when offered!!!
Anyway, I can't decide amongst all of your brugs now.............. can you see me when you have added lots more?? Instead of weeks of deciding it would be years............LOL
Kelley... i think if not mistaken, Meiyu is ur half sister in another life... hehehehehehehehe! betcha Rebecca is relieved to have u off her case :) LOL!!!
Hmmmmm does this mean we can buy cuttings from Arlene or from Eric?
yes
Arlene, but I would wait till she is feeling better before flooding her with emails.
I wouldn't think of disturbing her right now. I know it must be painful to have surgery on such a delicate part of the body where there is not much flesh.
Jeesh...wonder if arlene would trade for my weeds...
Maybe if she's still taking pain killers...and if her nose swells just a little...she won't notice that they're weeds
Think it will work? No,huh......
CC, i can't look in the mirror, tis swollen! ouch! do you have a pic of your weeds? lol
Arlene, you are too funny. Now I have to ask...what type of weed are you two talking about?
snicker!!!
Brugman, i have no clue, why i asked for a pic! do you think they are daturas or passion flowers?
Perhaps a bit of both knowing the source. Glad to see your feeling a bit better.
LOL LOL LOL
I don't do that kinda weeds.......I get drug tested at work! LOL
Arlene,I panicked last year when you sent me some kind of hibiscus seeds ,and they said canibus on them!
Up here passiflora are NOT weeds,we celebrate if they come back every year!Daturas too.......
CC, i was joking. i love passiflora. did you grow the hibiscus seeds? they make pretty flowers, annuals.
Yeah,I planted them,no blooms yet, hope I get some before frost.I actually like the plant and I'm thinking of digging it and a purple leafed one up to bring in for the winter.Do you think they'd live for a while in the GH?
CC,
I dug the hardy ones up(seedlings) last year and brought them inside for winter, lost them all, guess they don't like to keep growing in winter. Better to keep them in the ground unless we get -21 degrees??? Good luck.
CC, the H. cannibinus has been very easy for me to transplant. they are annuals. you could try the smaller ones.
crestedchik...............Miss Arlene is a brug snob!!! through and through!
ROTFLMAO.........my stomache hurts....
ms kell!! you should see how high my nose is! (be nice or i'll email you a pic). i simply don't have the space for brugs and dats!!!
Arlene - when you get those suitcases, do you think you could post some sort of list??? I would love any doubles, other than white! I will send postage of course!
I recently composted several trees of HG as I was unable to get any pods to take on it. That and it did not bloom enough for me to warrant having it. Hearing of others successes with her though, perhaps I was a bit hasty. Sorry, no colored doubles here Azalea.
Whahhhhhhhhhhh Eric TOSSED HG trees. I've wanted one of these so badly since I first looked at Brug sites in Europe and saw this double orange. I would DRIVE south to get just one of these. My friend in Miami wants to line his circular driveway with these after I sent he and his wife pics.
I probably tossed enough to line most driveways. Not, only tossed a few trees of HG. The color was very nice on them though. I think it takes someone like Monika though to pull off a double in color good enough to keep though. Of course, part of me wishes I had set at least one seedpod to it...crossing to butterfly....
Well you can always start anew with it Brugman!!!
Jeepers, you guys can talk, can't you? I've only been out about 3 days, and it took 3 hours to scan through what I've missed!! And Arlene, you had surgery and are back on in the time I've been out? I'm embarrassed to say I was merely bitten by an unknown garden nightstalker. Watch out for that Kell woman, though, she's trying to take my first born child away for vines...hahaha!!! But for you, my friend, I have pain killers...LOL!
Arlene, remember the H. cannibinus gave me, well it is as tall as I am and yesterday DH saw and thought I was growing something I shouldn't be. He said I know you get into growing all kinds of stuff but I think you have gone to far. I just let him stew about for a little while before I broke the news.
Dee, too bad.....you could send it here for it is legal and goes for lots of $$$. We actually have drugstores with all kinds, you get to pick your favorites.
Well,that explains it...LOL
You know CC I thought so myself, but I didn't want to say so. Are you gonna be home this week, need to send you a package.
yup,I'm home on Vacation till Friday ,then going to the Thousand Islands and roam around Canadian waterways a little till Monday
Citrus coming your way along with the greenhouse tape. Probably will send out on Tues. To dark to box it up now. Oh, guess what I found in Chicago, Chocolate Joe Pye Weed. Want a little piece of it. And you guessed it, it is a chocolate color plant.
I always wondered if it looked different, figured it was just a name to show the difference between the wild form
And I'm so excited!I love citrus!!
I had such a great day,did good at the show today, saw Cheap Trick in Concert this afternoon, got taken out to dinner..and come home to the sweet smell of a brug in bloom,Don't have to work tomorrow, and then find out I got plants coming...Life is WONDERFUL
Speaking of HG, Eric, I have a single plant of HG and it grew to about 2 ft. and then became sickly looking. Never was so disappointed with a brug....was looking forward to a nice tree with lots of bright orange double flowers. Am going to toss mine also....although I did start four cuttings to give away locally, so some other gardners can be disappointed next year. LOL
