Hey Dave, I have noticed a small glitch. When I look at a posting with no replies then go back later to look, the 'skip to the first new reply' feature takes you to the last reply. Not like it is a big deal but I noticed it. LOL
A little glitch
Hi Badseed, it can't take you to the last reply if there are no replies at all. The link only works if there are replies.
Dave
No, I mean if I look once to see what the post says (and there are no replies), then go back later to look again (not remembering I had seen it). The second time I am on the post, if I click the skip, it goes to the last reply.
Yep....I don't think it's a glitch though. If you've seen "all there is to see" and re-enter the thread before anything else is posted it'll drop you down to the last reply (actually, I think it goes a bit further, all the way down to the box where you can post a reply.)
Which is a good thing for those of us who have a delayed reaction and decide to reply after we've read the thread and moved on to something else :)
Also have noticed, when you sometimes, not all the time, click on a thread, the following appears. Sometimes have to click on the same thread a couple of times before it actually does come and appear.
Database error: cannot use database gardening
MySQL Error: 2014 (Commands out of sync; You can't run this command now)
Session halted.
No, no, no, no! LOL Okay, I go to a new post with NO replies and I read it. Later I see there are replies and I go to look again. Not remembering I have seen it already, I click on the skip to and instead of going to the first new reply (first time I looked no replies, so they are all new) it goes to the message box or last reply. Does that make sense??
Hmmmm. I think I understand, and I've had this happen when I started to scroll down the page, then realized there were several posts I had already read (or when the first post is kind of long, and I am scrolling through or past it.) At any rate, if I scroll back up, click on "skip to new replies" it goes all the way to the bottom. Yes?
Another way this occurs is if I happen to double click on the thread to open it (or double click on the "go to new replies",) instead of a single click, it does the same thing. I just figured these were both just forms of operator error on my part...
See, the roots do stop before they hit the brain! LOL
Are you talking about yours or mine? (DH has been known to carefully inspect my hair while accusing me of being a blonde trying to pass as a brunette, lolol.)
Well, you know what you call a blonde who dyes her hair brunette, don't you? Artificial Intelligence. :0)
oooh, I sense this thread is going downhill fast. However, I did have to laugh - while simultaneously hoping my other half never hears/sees that punch line!
LOL
