Slow, slow, quick-quick, slow

Dave I've had to close down on a few occasions because it was taking an age especially when I have posted and then to return to the same forum. Then again, some forums are quicker than others. I hate to whine but is the problem my end or is it because of the numbers now - so many members!!

When the pages don't open as quick as they normally do, then it can be a multitude of things holding the instant connection back, e.g. sometimes I have even a problem, although I have a DSL connection.... and I get angry at my 'puter... don't worry, it's probably not your 'puter, or the bandwidth at Dave's, but just the multitude of people at that particular time trying to get through on one line to the internet, and causing fluctuations in the speed.

I hope I'm RITE, or else I'm RONG !!

Thanks Dave.....er...Wintermoor!!! lol!!! Explanation accepted and understood. I usually find it's the prayer forum where I have this problem and nowhere else. Strange or what!! :-)

I have Road Runner and usually fly through here but sometime I have to hold the shift key down and hit refresh at the same time, this usually works for me.

Thanks Windsurfer, I never thought of that!! I have Comcast and sometimes it bogs down too.

Your welcome, Dave gave me the advice so I thought that I would pass it on.

I have been having the same problem now for about a month and was blaming it on my ISP but just don't know for sure!

I just put up with it!
