Tried the link - it connected me and then bumped me off. That's ok - I was a loner anyway.

Can you get to the site anyway? The chat uses java, could that be the problem? What does the page say?

At first it was connecting, then when I tried to type, it said

*** Not in any channel yet, please type "/join #your_channel" first.

I tried different things there, but nothing worked. Finally got a message saying

*** Gardenwif register first

and then it close the connection.

Evert... if the chat originated from ur system, it will definitely work. i tried it too but won't work for me. i have dsl, so there shouldn't be any problem connecting. see ur program and check for bug/s.

Well, if it worked for my friends too, so it is not only working from my pc... Maybe it bans connections out ouf Finland? =)

hmmm, i got on ok, maybe its just for europe..

I just tried again...and it brings me to the box, but the box never changes...it's just a grey box.

I tried it. I got on fine, but I think that there was no one home, or online. How can you tell? There was no reply when I posted.

There is the user list on the right side, if there's only your name, then no one else is in the chat.

I got on...I think...no one home! Will try it some moring here...as I usually find you in Thursday morning chats...so the time here is now about 3:30 in the afternoon. Jo

When i tried i was asked whether i wanted to install some aplet or other. To only click on it if i was confident that the company (i'd never heard of) was safe. So i was boring and said no and came out of it.

I also tried - it asked me for a name, I gave it gerddi, then it was "loading java applet" then I got a half written security warning from Java and I told it to "grant this time" and it informed me that gerddi was not a valid name and I couldn't get any further. What name do I need to type in, as it obviously doesn't want mine!

I have a site for hotmail/msn where chat is always open. I started it after Jo complained that chat is only open on Tuesdays.

I linked, accepted the needed software to run, but got the following error after I typed my username. Any ideas?

Cool, Sqwidgetz! I'm the only one here right now, but I'm in the chat room :) Has anyone been using it? I think Badseed and several others have an online chat, but I'm not certain if it works the same way. I think it may be instant messenger. Anyway, I really like this, too! When I went into last Thursday morning's chat at DGs, there was only one person there! I think Tues. evenings might be more popular...

I guess I'll change my name to MummoLois. I like the sound of it.
