When I resize a photo to 640X480 pixels and add it to the contest it looks blurred, but once I click on the photo it is clear. Can you please tell me why it looks so blurred, thanks in advance.

What do you mean "once I click on the photo", Kit? Do you mean the thumbnail looks blurry, but the full-size image does not? Try saving your image at 75% compression, too. That's what I've been doing...72dpi, 640x480 size and at 75% compression.

Yes GW that's exactly what I mean. When I look at the pictures that I have posted the new ones look blurred before I click on them to open them up. I also resize them to 640X480 before I post them.

The thumbnails are blurred because Dave makes them low-resolution and small so they're fast-loading. Your full-sized ones are okay on DG, right?

The contest pages are a little messed up in that the thumbnails don't always generate perfectly. Fixing this has been a low priority, since the fullsize image works correctly. I will try to find a fix for this sometime, however.

Thanks Dave, I appreciate the time and effort that you have put into the whole garden club. I have noticed the changes even though I don't post my thanks, I am very aware, thanks to you all for making it easy for me.
P.S. I wanted to post a letter of thanks to you for starting this club, because of you I have met some wonderful people.
GrannyLois I know you are so proud of your son, and so are we. I just wanted to add that It was nice to meet you to GL, and I do hope to meet you in person one day soon.
