I did something crazy with my.

Alfred, ON(Zone 4b)

Hair *LOL*

Last week I finnaly went to see the chiropractor for my back.

He showed me the x-rays and compared my spine with a normal spine :-(

mine was so crooked compared to a healthy one :-(. He was talking with some strange terms *LOL* anyways he said in my words now. If I don't do nothing about it, with 50 I will look like a old meen witch.

He wanted a comitment from me, that I go and see him. Now I know way my back hurts so much.

That day I feelt so old so I went to the drug store where they sold hairdye..... I bought the MANIC PANIC dye *LOL*

Bought 3 colors RED PASSION, AFTER MIDNIGHT BLUE and PURPLE HAZE. does are semi permanent hair dyes. and a pack of bleach!!!!!

when I was home I just went ahead without thinking *LOL* bleacht my almost black hair to a yellow red. and then just picked one color out of the bag. I did no test otherwise I would knew the results and then maby choose not to go ahead and do the hair.

well Purple Haze was the one. my hair is now purple *LOL* my DH almost had a shock hehehe.......
I just wanted to do something crazy and not thinking about getting older.

my DD loves the hair and she wants some to. I just made her a little bid of the blue one. wow I love the blue. that will be next for me.

I would like to do her hair to, but since school will start in a month and I have to bleach her hair to... I don't know if a color like that is suitible for the school. have to talk to the school before *LOL* and I don't want to ruin her hair.

below just a sample of my hair, the color is more purple then in the picture

you're beautiful, and I'll bet that purple hair looks great! your DH is a nice looking guy too.
have a terribly twisted spine and yes, it hurts too too bad, so sorry for you.

Zameluzza, I have scoliosis, an "s" curve instead of the more common "C" one. When I was 20, I was told if I didn't have an operation, I would be in a wheelchair in 10 years. But I asked a few questions, and learned that a full 70 percent of the people who had the surgery were pulled off the table paralyzed. Decided I didn't like the odds. I was still quite ambulatory. When I was about 33, I was having bad headaches, along with the other pains associated with scoliosis, and went to have new x-rays. The doctor came into the exam room after he viewed them and asked me to tell him what kind of accident I had that caused so much damage. Of course, I had no accident, and I told him about the earlier "prognosis" report. I had massage, traction, chiropractic, pain pills, uppers, downers, you name it. But I am not in a wheelchair, still quite ambulatory, and my spine is just the same old quirky mess it always was. The first dire prediction was over 40 years ago!

Way to go Carmen.....I would love to do what you did....I am too chicken. I have blonde hair, so would only need to use the dye.....but egads....it does scare me!
good for you!!

Alfred, ON(Zone 4b)

tiG thanks :-)

Aimee, the doctorasked me to, if I had an accident when I was a kid, and if there is someone in the family with back problems.

All I know is that I was (am) a tomboy *LOL* and I did lots of sports. I am menopausal since many years (long story) HRT is what I'm on again. I stoped the HMT for over 1.5 years, so maybe that did not help either.

I'm so sorry about your back,

Pebble LOL thanks. don't be a chicken :-) *LOL* just go for it... we just live once....

Thanks, Carmen! I have lived with it so long, it seems almost like it's natural. Well, for me it is. Fortunately, it is an S and therefore the bottom malformed disc compensates for the top one, so I am not noticeably crooked. To look at me, you would never guess I am more pretzel than not. But if you tried to wear my clothes, you would find that they are sort of twisted. For many years I didn't even realize that! I am still amazed that the cancer didn't invade my spine, since it spread quite widely. Must not be as weak as I thought. Being a tomboy was probably one of the main things that saved me. I built strong muscles as a child in the country, and they helped me stand straight until just the last few years. Still, it's not as bad as many people my age, I just slump a little. I am acutely aware that I could be in much worse shape. And I can still bend at the waist, which I could not have done if they did the rodding operation that was recommended. Well, I can bend if I can get my belly out of the way.

Ohhh Aimee,
I would love to say so many things right now, but belive me I can't find the right sentence in english......
when you say I lived for so long with the pain it's like natural..... I know exactly what you are saing. well it was not the back pain with me, the monthly wisit from aunt Rosi *LOL* or should I say double and tripple monthly wisit. the pain was soooooooo bad I used to faint all the time. then after my surgery total Hysterectomy in 1994 everything was great. No more pain!! thet was the time I started to really have fun.
I'm grateful that I was painfree for about 7 years. now my back!
I just started to see the chiropracticor so maybe there is hope.

Carmen, you might want to see another chiro for a second opinion. What you were told sounds a lot like what mine told me, and now I wonder if it's common for them to say the same thing to people. I was getting relief from seeing this chiro, but had to quit whe I started having the hernia trouble. When I'm healed back up again, I'd like to go back.

I'm trying to imagine purple hair on you! Most daring thing I ever did was get my long hair cut into a bob and use a semi-permanent auburn/red color on it. Whew I miss that bob when it's hot outside!

Alfred, ON(Zone 4b)

GW,
glad to see you :)
DH told me the same thing, to go for a seccond oppignion.

I will go and see the family doctor, hoping that he will send me to a spetialist. I usualy hate to go and see Doctors. but I will go.

thanks

the purple starts to Fade :(
since I'm in the barn every day and have to see the chiro in between I take two baths or showers a day. It's still purple, but not so intence no more. They should invent a permanent color.
the good thing is blue or red is next *G*
