I forgot to tell you that Jo doesn't smoke anymore so it was just Cala, Carol and I doing the puffing lol.

I QUIT 2 months ago!!! It was easy this time ...I went for Accupuncture...and Dr. Lopez was wonderful. I recommend it to anyone wishing to kick the habit. Even being around others smoking I am not having the urge to smoke!! Jo

Good for you Jo. I am sure your grandson is happy.

RR, I've thought of acupuncture....I might try it one of these days..

Jo of course I am proud of you as well, it is not an easy thing to give up.
As you know when we talked I told you about my fear of needles, but it goes much deeper than what I told you about.
I AM THE BIGGEST CHICKEN WHEN IT COMES TO NEEDLES!!!!!
I have my shots and needles counted before I enter a hospital and believe me they don't give me anymore than what my doctor says at the beginning. Does that give you an idea of how affraid of them I am? I am going to try and talk myself into it but it will be a while.

One of the first things my grandson asked me when I got home was "Grandma...how are you doing on your not smoking?"

I was so happy to be able to tell him that I QUIT!!! Jo

Windsurfer....look into accupressure....no needles! Part of the treatment she received was wearing a small patch that had a tiny steel ball under it to press on the addiction point in the ear. I even saw something similar over the counter in WalGreens Drug Store.
BTW the addiction point works for any addiction..I think that is why we don't feel the urge to substitue with food.

RR, did you change your name? Or is that someone else? I am a bigger coward about needles than Roadrunner. My family doctor when I was a kid took great delight in giving us all shots, all the time, all in the kidney. Until you have had a prophylactic shot of penicillin straight into the kidney, you haven't lived! Or walked for a week, either, and that is no exaggeration. We got them once a year. Ain't nobody big enough anymore to give me a shot. Nope. Or to hold me down while I get one.

WeedWalker I have seen the patches but not the ones with balls. I haven't even heard of them, so if you could give me a name I would appreciate it.

Jo I didn't know that Weedwalker was your daughter, small world. I know just how proud you are of her and I can understand a mother's pride.
