Woodspirit1 contacted me earlier this week and invited me for a day of yard sales and thrifts in her town today. I just got back home with over 200 used books, plus a few other goodies.

The best find, however, was free... a lovely gift from her of a neat 4' tall piece of driftwood for my garden! We also saw a hosta with a spectacular bloom, a bloom like I'd never seen before. Did either of us have a camera??? Of course not. :(

If I can find the hosta name, and/or go back to her area while it's still blooming, I'll try to post a photo.

Great day with a warm and generous woman!

Sounds like ya'll had a great day! Could the hosta be 'blue angel' for I bought one this year and it had gorgeous big blooms like lilies do!
