I'm wondering if she somehow seen the one I have tucked in the corner of the deck in semi-shade. It was living inside and I decided it was time for it to go out. It's pouting, but I don't think that it's abused. My kids pout all the time and they definitely aren't abused. :)

Hee hee, y'all will never guess who it is!!!! She owned a poor brug, left it in a closet, took it out the door breaking it's arm in the meantime and then left it in the sun for hours while it got a 3rd degree burn!! Believe it or not, it bloomed.
Wonder who would trick Kathleen into growing a brug???

well, I figured it must have been you!!! I did see on another thread where there is talk about brugs and datura being very dangerous, not sure if that's what she's talking about or not. but that's for a whole nuther thread.

Irish, running them over with a lawn mover and abose the twigs as clothing would make an interesting alternative fashion to Cala`s Brug stem hat. *lol*

I will tell you that it isn't Cala and it isn't me - don't have any, the datura left with Cala and crew in the back of her car!

Oh, its easy to mistake unripe Datura seeds from section stramonium with Radish or spinach seeds the seeds of section Dutra could go as sweet or hot pepper seeds. *lol* If all sweet pepper plants would look like Daturas I would like to grow a few. *lol* The few I have in the GH is not putting out much fruit.

Roadrunner wants it made clear that it certainly isn't her. Just because she was in the car doesn't make her guilty of being a "brug feind".
Now on a serious note, the brug police caught up with us in Newark. One of our meembers has been sentenced to growing 500 brugs to blooming size. She must not allow them to become sunburned or allow any limbs to be broken. She must give up her living quarters so they will be warm and toasty in the winter and isn't allowed to put them in the closet for an extended time.
She is currently under the brug protection program and I can't reveal her name or that she lives in Surry Va.

Well there you go - anybody who still has vacant closet space isn't mature enough to own a brug. LOL
I agree with the sentence - 500 brugs to blooming size will certainly keep her busy and out of trouble - a suitable form of house arrest. As to the fine - the heat bills alone over the winter ought to reminder her to never, ever treat a brug badly.

Ha ha ha, I love that! Isn't empty closet an oxymoron? Well, it is for me!
I have never hurt a brug (as long as you don't count stepping on one) and do not allow the neighborhood teens near them.

Y'all should have seen this poor abused brug. Left in a closet till almost all the leaves fell, dragged across the floor and shoved out the door to bake in the sun and believe it or not, poor thing even bloomed. Don't it just break your heart?

Obviously the plant had a strong will to live. Which one was it? The feisty Frosty?

It was an orangey yellow, we think it's either Charlie or
Seuss.
