I tried posting a picture in the brugs forum, but after I write my post, attach the pic and then hit preview, it tells me that the page isn't available? What am I doing wrong?
Can't post a picture in the brugs forum
Joan, is the image really big? If it takes longer than 2 minutes to upload, it won't work. In that case, you'll want to use your software to try to decrease the size of the picture.
Unfortunately, it's a limitation of connections to the internet. It has to be fast enough to transfer that image in 120 seconds or less, else my server times out.
dave
I do not know Dave if believe your explanation..........very suspicious if you ask me!!
kell, don't you go teasing dave!!!
LOL tiG...........you must admit it was too funny and toooooooooooooo coincidental not to comment on..........LOL
sometimes I just can't stop myself, even when I know I should...................
stop kell!!! :) poor dave, what he has to go through with us!!!
I don't get it.
I am so SORRY!!! I WILL behave myself I will behave myself I will behave myself............... does Dave send people to Disneyland??
no, he doesn't. dave, she's just being silly. gotta love her, she's a great gal.
Dave, think back to earlier today.............. brug pictures..................... problems...................
Hmm...I don't *think* my pictures are too big, as I've posted pictures before and had no problems. I'll try again and see if it works. We had to go to the neighbors for a bit tonight after I posted this, so I'm late getting back to this thread. I'll let you know what happens.
Do let me know how it goes. Also, do you know what the filesize of the image is? (Like, how many KBytes is it?)
Dang, it still doesn't work and it doesn't take but a split second for it to tell me that the page is unavailable. Maybe it's a problem with my camera. I'll try to post to my journal and see if it works there.
I have no idea how to see what size the picture is. Clue me in and I'll check. I'm using a Sony Mavica FD-73 if that helps at all.
I can post a picture to my journal with no problems, I just can't post to the forums. ??? I'm out of ideas.

If I had a brug, I'd post one and see if I got an error, too, Joan! Shoot, I don't even have a DATURA! LOL
Can you post a photo to any other forum?
I don't have a picture to post to another forum unless you want to see a picture of my garage in progress! LOL! Well, heck, I maybe should try that just to see if it works, huh? Gonna be a pretty boring picture though unless I can find one of the whole house. Okay, I'll try it and you are either going to get a picture of the unfinished garage or a pic of the unfinished house if I can still find one I haven't deleted. I'll put it in the photo forum I think.
JoanJ, I just posted one to the brug forum for you.......it worked.................
I just tried to post in the photo forum and again in the brug forum and I can't. I can post a pic in my journal though. Anymore ideas? Maybe my camera is messed up? How do I tell the size of the pictures? I used to be able to post pics. I have tried old photos and I drug this brug into the house and took another pic of it after reformatting the floppy disk and using a new disk. I think it's my camera, but that still doesn't explain why I can post a pic to my journal?!?!?!
This brug isn't anything special either, and it's not even blooming. It's just one that I grew from seed this year and am kinda proud of it. LOL! I wanted to show Glory, since she sent me the seeds.
Now I'm feeling kinda dumb because you all will be waiting for a great brug picture.
well do not feel dumb............we all love all brug pictures and that is hte truth!!! And I for one am impressed that you have grown one from seed! I used to have a terrible time until Brugie got me to download a free picture program called infanView. It is easy to resize your picture in it.

pick a site to download it from
Thanks for the encouragement Kell, I was starting to feel really stupid about trying to post this picture. It's nothing special.
But....I finally got it done! Baby Ollie is now posted after all of this. Come to find out, it was the disks that were bad. I was using some for my garden stuff and some for the house stuff. After I got done posting all the house building pictures to my journal I deleted all those pics off the disk, since I knew that one worked, and took another pic of Ollie and it posted just fine.
Whew! Sorry Dave for all the uproar. It was only a floppy disk problem I guess.
Ouch! That's a good arguement for the memory sticks. It's just to common for floppies to go bad. :(
I like the floppy disks because I can fill my pocket with them and go out the door. When the disks get full, I don't always have time to do something with them right away, so I can just pop in a different disk. I think I maybe re-used the garden ones too many times though. :)
That's true. I really like these smartmedia cards. I have a 128mb one that holds 90 pictures on the SHQ setting (1600x1200 at low compression), and a 64mb one that came with the new camera.
Olympus and Fuji have collaborated and come out with a new memory device which is anticipated to progress to the point of being able to hold multiple gigabytes of data. Woooo. Just like betamax, everything's becoming obsolete, huh?
GW, want a brug??? :)
Gardenwife, i have a canon powershot S1200. I can only take 32 pics.........i lost my book..........do you know how I change the setting to less pixels so I can take more pics with out downloading first???
thanks
kelley
