Where did the Photo of the Day go?

Noticed photo of the day has been replaced by brugs theme for a good 10 days or more. Did something change? Why not have a seperate brugs photo of the day> In the brugs section?

as one of those pictures, I feel a little insulted.

This seems to be a sore spot with you mings since you've mentioned it before. I think you need some more Brugs to grow so you can post pics of your flowers too. I'll have cuttings this fall if you would like some. :)

no. not meant to insult. I have brugs. Just wondered why the change. Am fasinated by them also. Have given them away as gifts. have gotten other people interested in them. Just was asking what happened to photo of the day.

What was the photo of the day in yesterday's newsletter. Does anyone still have a copy, who could let us know which brug picture was selected yesterday?

Mark's pic was yesterdays photo of the day ... I still can't see what they are all gettng at LOL but I saw no Brugs in there :)

It was a funny looking Brug Dave. Never saw one like it before. Mostly a branch growing in front of a water scene with a person in it. :)

Guess I insulted a entrire group of people just by asking what happened. Sorry. I just asked what happened. My newsletter had photos from about July 18 till now. mainly of same subjest. I was under the impression it was a varity of information. My favorite is hydrangea. I should be insulted that there are none of them. Guess that won;t happen. Will just click no newsletter. that way. I won;t insult people. Sorry.

Baa, you haven't found the image within the picture yet? Once you do, it's hard to see the photo...I'll email you a hint if you'd like (wouldn't want to spoil it for others who haven't yet taken a peek.)

Mingsmimi, I think people are trying to kid a little, and help lighten up the thread (it seems to have started off on rather sour note.) I would also like to see more activity in the other forums, including Hydrangeas. I've been busy adding new plants to the PDB, because with new additions, we tend to attract additional members who are searching out websites that offer indepth information on their favorite plants.

If we can attract a number of active professional and hobby growers to other genera (as the Brugs forum as done), we'll see a lot more activity in those areas, too.

There are two main reasons brugs are frequent "photos of the day" - one is because we have a very active group of brug growers here. The brugs forum is typically #1 or #2 in postings for the day.

The second reason is because (I suspect) brugs are nearing their peak bloom season right now, so there are bound to be lots of photos (which have been gorgeous, by the way :)

I just asked where the photo of the day went to. If anyone should be insulted, it sould be me. Looks like everyone jumped down my throat boots first because I asked a question.

mimi, I honestly was a little hurt by your post. I was thrilled beyond words to have made the newsletter. There are some awesome pictures posted on this site, and it was a big deal to me to be chosen. If this had been the first time you'd brought this up, I wouldn't have taken it to heart. This is something that probably should have been handled in an email to Dave from the beginning.

I would dearly love to see EVERYONE lighten up a little here. The stats are just as Terry said. I love all flowers and nature, but some are mor prominent at certain times of the season than others. So, I wanna see evetone kiss and make up right now!!!

I just assume it's the law of averages; if there are a great number of photos of a certain subject, the likelihood of one of that common subject being picked is higher. Doubtless in the winter there won't be many brug pictures, yes? :)

I'd like to see this thread come to a close, but not before I say that I've had a brug picture or two in the newsletter, but would not be upset if they didn't make it there. Geez, we can see all the pictures on the forums, so this isn't a priority with me. It should be a bright place in our day, just to receive the newsletter. I know I'm happy to get it and don't consider it a place for competition. This newsletter doesn't come together without some work from our three administrators, so thanks you guys for all your work. I am very hurt by this post too.I got slammed because I asked a question. If anyone think you were singled out. ~ no names had been mentioned. ~ you yourself singled yourself all alone. I mentioned no names. I was under the impression that this was a paid site. SO. it would be run professionally. These postings are not professional. I have been accused of being a brugs raciest basically./ Un fair and un true /. All I did was ask what happened to all the other photos like the thing used to be. I was the one ganged up on. Am suprised at this behavior from adults. Am amazed I do not have hate mail in my emails box. Thought with the begining statement as to what Dg was all about . this site would be more caring. Especially for paying. "Do unto others. "that type of thing. I got slammed for asking a simple question. And I was insulted. over a plant./ what a Shame.

Nope, Brugie - there's definitely a picture. Maybe one of us can doctor a copy of it to show the alternative image hidden in the picture.
