I don't know where it is, but it sure is beautiful. I love the architeture and the grounds. If no one guesses right, you have to tell, ok?

Oh yes, I will tell soon. Apparently no one from England has seen this thread. One clue. What time is it?

This is the Royal Observatory at Greenwich.

Nice photo!!

Wingnut,
unless you are inside the Clock Tower in London, you cannot see Big Ben. Big Ben is the name of the bell which chimes the hours.

All the best

Aha! Thought I'd do a shot in the dark (and I missed ~ way off huh? LOLOL!). But I learned something! I'm off to do a search on Big Ben and the Royal Observatory. Yesterday I took an online virtual tour of the Tower of London ~ interesting stuff! I've always wanted to vacation in England and Europe, but of course can't yet. The internet sites on all the castles and monarchy will do me for now. ;)

Well I must say, he caught the Observatory on a good day, since it normally rains there.

Virtual touring is ok, you stay dry;-)

Visiting the Observatory followed a boat trip down/up? the river from Westminster Pier. Lunch outside (out back) a pub. And shopping (yikes!!!) the main avenue. If you have time, give Greenwich a go.
