Mark, are they metal or plastic? I have etched on plexiglass and it is not that difficult. Just a thought. If they are metal, I have not tried that YET. LOL

An Engravers shop shoud be able to make up these for you Mark.

Mark, Helsinki Botanical Garden makes them, but they are pretty expensive... They are made of hard plastic, or acryle or something-

they are made from acrylic.

Yes, I think they're acrylic, I foudn the page now; http://www.helsinki.fi/ml/botgard/hinnat/erikoistyot.htm

4 €/label - pretty expensive :/ 5 € if you want holes to the labels, and name spell checking etc.. :}

Mark, try a trophy store. They always have engraving tools and appropriate blanks. Might be cheap if you catch them off-peak.

Good thinking, Darius. Very outside the box - cool!

and it says? Evert?

You gotta give me some time to translate it :P

OK, this is a very humble and fast translation;

Botanical garden makes weather-resistant plant name labels. The normal size for our labels is 12 X 8 cm, and they can be made of white, red or yellow acrylic. The font used for text in the labels is Modern, but it is also possible to get the texts in Script- and Roman types.

One normal-sized label (with name of course) costs 4 € without botanical name checking, and punching. Labels with punching and botanical name spell-checking costs 5 €.

It's also possible to get the labels in other sizes, but the biggest size is A4.
